So if we're entering A New Hope does that mean we just got through the clone wars and Revenge of the Sith?

Yes and jarjar binks(megna) had his moment to shine, now he can take backseat role.Aaronp18 wrote:So if we're entering A New Hope does that mean we just got through the clone wars and Revenge of the Sith?

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
So... is this a 5 year mission? Or are we only going to need to see 2-3 years™ ?

The part of Jar Jar Binks will be played by Eriksson if he doesn't get his shit together.SKYO wrote: Yes and jarjar binks(megna) had his moment to shine, now he can take backseat role.

Eriksson is the silent assassin like Boba Fett, he'll come around and do some damage soon to the opposition.
I think he'll do well with Gagner, all they need is a big LW to work with to complete the traditional scoring line,
power LW, passing/playmaking center, scoring RW.

The big swede 6'2 215lbs, scored 51 points a year ago, then scored on a pace of 54 points over 82 games if he played that this prior season.#NYR have agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Mika Zibanejad on a five-year contract with an AAV of $5.35 million.
Very interesting for a comparable for Canucks/Horvat.

The Nashville Predators re-signed restricted free agent forward Ryan Johansen, the team announced Friday.
It’s an eight-year deal worth $64 million, which means an annual salary cap hit of $8 million. That’s a comparable deal to the one Evgeny Kuznetsov recently signed with the Washington Capitals.

From SN:
The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Nino Niederreiter to a five-year contract with an average annual salary of $5.25 million.
Perhaps the closest comparable to Bo yet?

In terms of importance to the team and position (in addition to career PPG), Horavt should be higher.Hockey Widow wrote:From SN:

Then again, four of five years on the Niedereitter deal are UFA years. So Bo should be looking at much (much) less.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I don't see the comparables. Nino is 2 years older, and took 2 years longer to reach the same level Bo has. Nino's last bridge contract is more comparable. 3 years at $2.67 million. As Bo has out-performed Nino during the same years, I'd see Bo getting 3 years at $4 million per, if we are looking at comparables. Or, Nino's current $5.25, but over 8 years.Island Nucklehead wrote:In terms of importance to the team and position (in addition to career PPG), Horavt should be higher.Hockey Widow wrote:From SN:

Horvat's contract should land betweenTciso wrote:

the high Aleksander Barkov: $5.9 million, Mark Scheifele: $6.125 million
medium:Vincent Trocheck $4.75 million, Mika Zibanejad: $5.35 million
the low: Victor Rask $4 million, Nick Bjugstad: $4.1 million
So by mathematical standards Horvat should be around $5M per x 6 for his next contract.
