Boeser is a significantly more valuable asset but it does more or less set the bar.
IMO Boeser at 8x8 would be fair for both sides as long as camp brockett doesnt go fishing for dumbass money

Goldobin gets a one way. So he’s set to earn $900,000 no matter what. If we waive him, no cap residue and since it’s a one way it may make him to be less likely to be plucked on waivers.

If Boeser's camp wants $7M x 4, they're gonna want at least $9M x 8 imo (that's a few UFA years there)
Would be awesome to get Brock at 8x8 with the way contracts for young stars are going.
But I'd be happy with $7M x 4 at this point....

I think we’ll see a 7x4 contract, I’m guessing their fighting over how to structure it, brock wanting the qualifying offer to be like timo Meier and Jim wanting a lower qo.

Looking over that roster i have to think Baerchi probably gets moved. Theres no room for him and his deal isnt prohibitive.

I agree. Biega is a rare type of player that can sit and sit but play pretty well, for a spell, them return to the press bin and not bitch
about nothin, just happy to be in the NHL. Tries his ass off and doesn't look too out of place.

They are speaking of the possibility of new contract years for Boeser. Starting to hear more often that the team may like a three year deal.
If I'm Brock and his agent, I wouldn't feel safe with three. There might not be enough left. Seriously.
In order for this resurgence of Stanley cup contender is to succeed, it's going to take everyone and I mean everyone, to take the Horvat approach.
Brock-now and Quinn and Petey in two years. Whereas that might NOT be the direction of thought, viewpoints, of their perspective agents, It would be great to see everyone on board with the build a dynasty plan.
I'm not as optimistic of a considerable cap increase as many. Maybe the new gambling income will translate in a higher cap but I wouldn't bet on it.
Like to see Boeser here by Wednesday; Thursday at the latest. Anything that passes the beginning of camp or even into pre-season and I will
think someone is not playing nicely. Trust me; that is me being polite.
Of note; I could give a flying f**k about; "Well nothing happens till the others start signing", bullshit.

As we plunge into RFA signing (or not) season, the three-year bridge contract Werenski signed is instructive in understanding some of the dynamics at work, specifically what is the Year 3 salary? AAV is, of course, vitally important but so is the level of compensation in Year 3.

JB needs to look long term and do what is right for the team and if this means Boser needs to miss a month so be it. Just because 1 GM gave the wrong type of deals it does not mean it should become the norm. If Boeser/Kachuck and others all miss part of the season because their agents are trying to construct a deal that butt fracks the team when it expires then just say no.
Yes the players will get their money and they have a right to request what ever they want.
Reefer is ok with BB not starting until Nov/Dec if it helps the team long term, they are not a contender yet so no negative impact to the team to do it right this time.
