Approaching worst I have ever witnessed stage.

Should we draw straws for who is going to sacrifice themselves to the GDT Gods tomorrow?

Perhaps Russian Roulette more apt....

I agree, there is great anguish from the thongs. Appreciate you putting one on to save us.

Have fun shooting shit.

I’ll be out for a stroll.

I’d rather rats not be the one to “sacrifice himself” the night before he goes hunting….

I agree. There was at least one season of heavy injuries when Brandon Sutter was supposed to be an important player and earned the Birdbones nickname, but those were teams that didn't have much of a shot anyway. I feel that this group at least could have a shot at being a playoff team if healthy, but having good goaltending and a healthy Quinn Hughes are prerequisites to that feeling.

The year I remember being particularly painful was the post lockout season of 2005-06. It wasn't something that lasted the whole season, but there was at least one game where the Canucks had only 1 of their top 6 defenseman playing. Guys like Sven Buetenschoen, Prestin Ryan, Tomas Mojzis were pressed into action. Nolan Baumgartner (probably the #7 when the season began) played so much that we started thinking he was not terrible all things considered, and the injuries forced Bieksa to be called up (good thing in the long run, but man he was raw). There were long term injuries -- Jovo missed half the season, Salo missed his usual 25 games -- but the issue was that a bunch of short injuries all happened at the exact same time and it was post-ASB when the Canucks really needed wins and were unexpectedly bubbly as a team -- they rocketed out of the gate but then just played mediocre the rest of the year (and they would ultimately miss the playoffs).

Hey my memory isn’t all that bad! Brutal to fight for a playoff spot without Jovo and Salo.

I have 3 moose holding up in my tree stand down the bottom of my property right now. They're hiding from the hunters as they mindlessly drive the county roads tossing bud light cans everywhere.

Management needs to really start considering bringing in more players who can hold up to the wear and tear of the season. We are extremely weak in that department. A very fragile roster.
