Joshua is showing all the signs of a guy who missed off-season training and then actual on-ice training time. Feet and strength returning, hands not there yet.
Coach doesn't see any improvement in Joshua, 11 mins of ice time tonight.
Boeser only 15 mins.

Pettersson with only 16 mins.

Garland and Suter led the way tonight in TOI.....among forwards.
I guess this explains the loss.
Our top two forwards are Pettersson and Boeser.....at least according to payroll. We out-shot Dallas decently tonight and neither of them registered a SOG. Instead they finished minus-3 and minus-2 respectively.
Do i need to repeat myself?
Probably.

This team is sad as shit right now and I’m not seeing a quick turnaround, a solution. I’m still mystified as to how we got into this mess? Allvin? Rutherford?? The Defence is fixed, great! Spectacular!! Yippee Ky yay!!! But our forward group is as limp as an old man’s Jimmy’s. Not even viagra can fix this disaster.

I’m fairly convinced we now rank worst in the league when it comes to the top two centre ice position.

We went from Pettersson, Miller and Horvat to lame ducks Petey and Chytil. What’s even more troubling is we have zilch coming up in the pipeline. Nada!!

Wonderful.

I see we are now getting our own experience with streaky DeBrusk. Kinda understand now the complaints in Boston about him. But hey, I’m not supposed to be so negative regarding Jake, so I’ll end with this “ain’t he wonderful”.

My thoughts on Chytil. He’s a nice looking player, got some moves, skates well, blah, blah, blah….but….he can’t finish. You can see why he was expendable in the Rangers eyes. I gather the tease wore off.

Boeser seems utterly hopeless without Miller. Just sayin’

Probably before.

Other than our derth of top-6 pivots there's no JR/PA induced changes to bitch about.

I love when he rants about DeBrusk. The guy has been a 50 point pace scorer in all but one year of his career (2022-23) when he put up 50 in 64 games. 50 point guys are naturally streaky. Every player who scores below the 60 point mark will probably have 30 games per year where they don't register a point, perhaps more if you factor multi-point games. DeBrusk is our only forward who might hit 30G, and one of only 4 who might hit 50PTs, this season. He's got 10 more goals than Pettersson for 53% less. But he's the guy you've repeatedly brought up.

Debrusk does fit the brand of what they are trying to put together here. A team filled with average to fair players…and Quinn Hughes

Exciting

DeBrusk was a good edition when the plan was that they were building the top-6 around Miller AND Pettersson.

Now? He's still a 2nd line winger on a team devoid of anyone playing at a first line level.

We're talking about the edition (of the team) when DeBrusk was the addition.

Not the current edition (of the team).....which is a clear case of subtraction.
