I once proved mathematically that the Leaves would suck in every possible alternate universe.
Is there a universe in which Blob would show the GM of his hometown team some respect?

That great Leaves defence and their triumvirate of potential Vezina Trophy nominees in goal gave up three fewer goals than the Canucks did this season. Keep in mind the Canucks top two defensemen missed 57 man games between them. Looks like the Leaves are playoff ready.

What a finish!
Considering the start to the season it's almost unbelievable that Toronto finished with only 2 points more than the last WC team in the East.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

That's what happens when you play in the East. Montreal has 6th best record in the West.

The East also had 5 teams finish with less than 80 points and one that finished with less than 70. Only 2 teams out West had less than 80 points.

Since losing to the Canucks, the leaves have gone 5-7-4.
Without those 4 loser points, they'd have missed the playoffs. Too bad the Canucks let them take it to the shootout.
I can't recall ever seeing a team back into the playoffs as badly as the Leaves have...
... well actually, when you look at the Wings from Lidstrom's last season until Babcock left, there's some pretty awful March/April sets in there.
