Gord Miller has quite the bulbous boozy nose, W.C. Fields levels. Doyle, yours ever get like that?

I have a jaw. Miller lacks one.

What does parity and improvement have to do with "rock em sock em hockey"....? Take a knee Buds.

So you do sport a W.C. Fields?

Parity amongst the juniors internationally seems to have become much more so with each passing season. Where you at now, Revelstoke? Clearwater? Vanderhoof? You seem to be making the rounds up there like Lenny Smalls.

See what happens today overall (of course) but I think Verhoeff has shown measurable levels of comfort and improvement as he has played and the most recent game was his best.

7th youngest D man to ever suit up.

Some players on the team were surprised to see his 200' abilities and learn he had just turned 17.

Dude could be an absolute stud one day.

He's behind only McKenna in the pecking order in my view, as was originally forecast.

Jeez I hope we get a top 2 pick Megs.

It really feels legitimately deserved....to the fans I mean...not the owners.

Either player could be franchise altering.

At last..

Stenberg is the best player of the 3 I've seen play in this tournament.

Honestly any of the 3 works for me.

Just someone to get amped about....

Not sure about the 4th musketeer in this draft class Lawrence. Chef had some insight into him but without getting eyes on them in a tournament against their peers like this one it's all rumours and hearsay.

I think he's a C but that's all I know. I'll go do some googling

Edit:
Preliminary Rankings-Tynan Lawrence is the next in line of a US Region that looks scarier by the day. The first thing that jumps out about Lawrence is definitely his smooth, effortless skating. He’s constantly in motion, covering ice in both ends with excellent off-puck movement and positioning. Lawrence also uses his speed as a dual threat, tracking back and killing odd man rushes defensively, while also jumping into the rush offensively.

This speed makes Lawrence a transition demon: he was a zone entry and exit machine for Muskegon last year, moving the puck through the neutral zone with pace and efficiency. He avoids forcing plays and instead opts for controlled, reliable decisions, though I would like to see him experiment more and be more daring in attacking defenders 1-on-1. He’s admittedly not the most dynamic puckhandler. Instead, he relies on intelligent reads, recognizing when to attack open space and executing clever passes under pressure, using an array of soft chips, aerial feeds, and smart banks off the boards. He also owns a compact, accurate shot that he can fit through traffic.

Defensively, Lawrence shows high-end instincts, particularly with timely stick checks that lead to rushes the other way. I would like to see more urgency and commitment however; he can appear passive at times defensively, especially on the penalty kill, and could be more consistently competitive in board battles. Overall, Lawrence’s total package of speed, hockey sense, and north-south transition ability makes him one of the premier potential playdrivers in this draft class.-Ryan Ma

August 2025 – While Lawrence didn’t have the most productive Hlinka, the tournament did confirm in other areas his utility and value across the board. Lawrence’s all-around play showed many of the same qualities that earned him playoff MVP honors as a USHL rookie.

Lawrence is at his best when he’s right up in your grill. Whether he’s putting defenders on their heels with his puck carrying, or harassing the opponents on the forecheck, Lawrence doesn’t give you any space to breathe.

Lawrence will be returning to the USHL to captain Muskegon this season.–Luke Sweeney

He's from Newfie Brunswick so he fits the desire for more Canadian content in our future ranks

That all sounds pretty positive.

I'm really big on the skating...we, as a team, simply need to get around the ice better especially in this day and age.

I also like that he displays a 200 foot ability already....

Also the in your grill is pleasant to read...

It sure looks like a pick in the top 4 pretty well guarantees a top prospect with a low chance of blowing it. I don't even know if I'd want the 1 O/A and all the pressure to choose the right piece. Any of these kids could end up as the best choice as far as I can tell
