CC's own version of Nathan Lafayette.
Wouldn't be a true Canucks fan if I did otherwise.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

And then when he comes back? A few more games, then another 2-3 weeks?
Lankinen isn't going to save enough games to affect the standings (Sivlos wouldn't have either).

According to Megs, most of the goalies in Abby are injured, so who backs up? Or starts the back-to-backs? Jiri Patera (8 NHL games)
Goaltending injuries

Nikita Tolopilo: Suffered an injury early in the season and has not yet recovered.
Ty Young: Was playing in net but sustained an injury during a game and left the ice.
Emergency Goaltenders: Due to injuries, the team has had to use emergency backup goaltenders.
Recent Signings/Recalls:
Jonathan Lemieux: Recalled from the ECHL's Kalamazoo.
Aku Koskenvuo: Called up to help with the goalie shortage.

Demko 10 GP, 2.80 GAA, .903 Sv%
Lankinen 9GP, 3.57 GAA, .885 SV%
Silovs 9GP, 2.49 GAA, .916 SV%

The stat is cute but means little.

Wait, wasn't dangles the leading proponent on the re-sign Lankinen campaign last year?

While Lankinen does have the worst stats of the 3, he's not the problem Donald.

Something wrong with the pro scouting if they couldn’t see the improvements Silos made and chose a limited upside Lankinen over him…it was dumb when they signed him and continues to be. It was dumb to trade Silovs for a fourth and not carry three goalies till at least Christmas knowing Demko’s injury history.

Never understood the Lankinen deal, the timing, duration nor certainly the value.

Completely disagree(d) with it then and now.

I saw a clip of Demmer stretching and testing the popliteus toward the end of the period before he came out.

Must have felt a tingle...

Hockey Widow wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 1:15 pm There have been stories about his (Demko) mental fragility for years. Perhaps fragility is the wrong word. More hypochondria.
Maybe Demmer's hypochondria was passed on to EP40, so Petey has chronic 'tendonitis' now and is scared to skate hard on shifts and drive hard to the net. We'll soon become a team of hypochondriacs. :(
Of course fans don't (and shouldn't !) get to see the medical data.

There are (at least) two explanations: either they're hypochondriacs, or they're physically fragile.

I see no reason to suspect either way about their mental states. But I think I do have reason to believe that they are both physically fragile.

Add the previously discussed mentally fragile to your list RG.

And then there were 3.....

According to Dan Murphy - no Hughes, and no Drew O'Connor at practice today in Carolina...

Could be a maintenance day for both, one, or for neither - but surely another added to the list of walking wounded. This is just absurd.

Edit: Update - Hughes listed as Day to Day
