With this kind of return, our pick will be higher than 13.

Don’t get too attached to that 1st rd pick. Rutherford has already hinted at flipping it.

The recent Rutherford interview was obviously planned in preparing the market for this disappointing trade. It’s all become clear now. Gave it 5 days and then pulled the trigger

The jig was up as soon as Räty was called up. I wager at that point, it was a matter of hashing out the finer points of the deal.

No question the Rangers get, by far, the best player in the deal. The return is underwhelming but I think this is par for the course when dealing with adversarial situations. The Canucks get a centre back which they needed. The get another RHD prospect. They get a protected 1st and free up a ton of cap.

They were never going to get equal value for miller.

I am saddened that we lose a balls to the wall heart and soul player that could carry the team on his back on any given night. I am glad the saga is over. If Pettersson thought he had pressure before well it’s just beginning now. Everything he does will be measured by what we lost.

Will the fans keep up the JT Miller chant the same way they did the Bruce chant?

So top 13 protected. Underwhelming but I guess since the Canucks are likely to flip it who cares.

Imagine if Peter goes too. That'd be pretty wild wouldn't it.

If it results in the Hughes brothers coming to Vancouver, I don’t care what else besides that 1st round pick goes the other way.

If this was the best we could get from the Rangers imagine how bad the other offers were.

Hearing Pettersson will also not be playing tonight.

He will be at the airport making sure Miller gets on the plane.
