Convincing “get-right” game from the boys.
Let’s see how they do against the Isles.

Petey looking more like himself.
EP40 quietly getting a point streak going. Not exactly highlight reel goals/plays, but the main thing they count on the scoreboard and stat sheets. That is all that matters

Could also help him get his confidence back. I think the cause for the slump is all in his head.
Hopefully scoring a few goals will make him snap out of it.

Well, alrighty then... didn't watch again, but sounded like a good game from the boys.
Good job Corndog. Let's get a new streak going.
Doc, seems like you finally got some assholes that you've been craving.
Coaching staff. Certainly a couple of guys who used to play like assholes.
More assholes have been added to the roster. Miller is out of this funk and is at least back to 80% asshole according to some folks here. Oil Vinny even calling him an asshole during preseason. Game recognize game. Too bad Desharnais needs his asshole crazy-glued to the bench.
Sherwood? Major asshole. Ask the Captain.
Myers? Playoffs Giraffe certainly is one.
I think we need to add just a few more in the springtime and we can finally blue-pill our way into the Matrix, eh?
Anyway, I've really been enjoying not following the team or watching them play. Not visiting or posting in CC has also been wonderful.
Cheers, fellas! (and HW)

Bränströmm with his first, from a different area-code!!
Brannstrom looking like the player we hoped we had in Jack Rathboner. Looking like a great pickup, considering we got him for a bag pucks. I usually like my bottom pairing guys to be more of the bigger, defensive stay-at-home types like D.Fartbort and Zaddy, but if Brannstrom can play his game (skating and moving the puck), help the team and not be a liability, Tocc has gotta go with him. He's showing all the signs on why he was a 1st round pick.

A few comments;
Better game played by Vancouver, effectively moved the puck along the walls out of their zone and forchecked in the offensive zone. It was systematic. But it was a doormat team it was against and Vancouver was playing at 33 1/3 not the 45 or 78 they need to be playing at.
D towers were being D towers, even Hronek was in on it.
Biggest change in Scooter is his skating style. He has opened his hip, put some space between his crotch and knee to use his hips and legs to stride. Better, stronger more balanced. He wasn't the knock kneed falling pylon out there. I began noticing a few games ago, but it was sporadic, laboured and deliberate. Last night it was looking slightly more natural. Is this the after practice lessons he has been getting? Skating lessons? Just what I'd expect from the highest paid player in team history, a month of skating lessons to start the season while pocketing nearly $2 million dollars. Just be patient, empty your wallet, he'll grow up and mature come his birthday and some skating lessons...maybe. What a pro.
Sushi looked like a rookie in his first game. A bit lost defensively, terrified of screwing up. The few glimpses of natural thinking flow of the game play, he did fine for what it was.
Calgary should never have been lingering close on the scoreboard in that game.

Tell us how you really feel, Tops
Personally, I still think he has been getting over a lingering knee/groin issue. He is finally getting his legs back. The extra practice/work might just be to specifically rehab certain muscles or tweak his skating to put less pressure on certain joints/ligaments.

Carl, you're gonna wanna start watching them soon.
Still not running on all 12 cylinders, but they will be, they're headed in that direction.

A few thoughts...
Elias Pettersson starred in this game, to Mëds' chagrin.
Ryan Huska is looking more and more like Pierre McGuire.
The. Poor. Bastard.
Trading Kuzmenko was the right move.
(and some Nucks clearly never liked him)
Good news for BCE = high draft picks coming.
Ryan Kesler is still looking for love.
