Could you imagine the international uproar of it was Iphones

They intercepted the shipment and planted explosives and a trigger… then finished the delivery……apparently


Pagers are safer to use as far as hacking goes till now….

Word is that the pager explosives were to be detonated as a precursor to the start of war however a couple of Hezbollah were having pager issues and Israel was afraid the scheme would be discovered. The decision was a simple use it now or lose it forever matter.

Pagers work on radio frequencies not tied to cellular or land line networks therefore with a simple small repeater network they can function in remote areas and places cell frequencies cannot.

Has Hezbollah never watched The Wire?

You're supposed to send your guys all over the place to buy one or two pagers at a time, not order in bulk from a major supplier

I bet that company has beefed up its security as of today.

As I said, the attack greatly reduces Hezbollah ability to communicate.

Not to mention the fact thousands of them are now in hospital.
