Absolutely. That was as close as it gets. Unlike in '98 where it felt like Canada was dominating and Hasek was unbeatable, this was a very tight game which could have swung the other way. The Canadians carried more of the play but the Czechs had many great chances of their own, including that Necas breakaway in particular.

This was a really tightly contested game and unfortunate for the Czechs that they don't have the chance to play for a medal. They really showed well today.

Speaking of teams playing competitively, Switzerland is showing some resolve (despite losing one of their better players to a nasty injury). I didn't expect as much from the Finns considering they are missing Barkov but they are still a really quality team that I would not expect to bow out early. Let's see what happens but they are seriously in tough right now!

Hell of game. Czechs gloriously but lost.
The 3:2 was a great play by the defender throwing his body in. 3:3 nice touch by Zündapp. Omg and even in OT Czechs had a good scoring chance before Marner danced in against 3 players. Unbelievable. Congrats to the CanTeam whethered the storm, but i guess Coop Johnston was not very pleased saying some serious words to the team after the game. Seemed so.

Suomi also disappointing today. Switzerland will be Canada's next hurdle.

Best game I've seen in a while - thankfully the outcome was in our favour.

Hopefully a good wakeup call for the team to take it up a notch.

Now, I do hate the three on three format, but with the tight Olympic schedule, I guess to keep playing real hockey till one team scores wasn’t an option.
