Interesting research Topper.
Overall what a horrible looking group!!!
Lindholm and Zadorov should do well in Boston.
I expect Elias will quiet his local naysaers playing top line minutes with Pastrnak and whomever and Zadorov will likely become a fan favourite in Beantown much as he was here.
Maybe he will play with McAvoy, that could prove interesting.
Schmidt might be a nice value signing for Florida. Maurice obviously has familiarity with the player.
DeSmith will be a decent back up for Jake in Dallas.
If Motte can stay healthy a decent 4th liner for the Wings.
The Toffoli and Tanev deals reek.
I can't believe Kevin Connauton is still hanging around the league.
The rest are a big pile of meh.

Shit, I didn't know Glen Cochrane died. That guy was a fucking animal. He went ballistic when he fought. I was at a game probably 13 years old when he and the Chief traded them at the end of the period. What a fight. The Chief got dropped and he was tough as hell. All the players poured on the ice as it was the end of the period. This was a few years after the Canucks and Flyers had a couple massive brawls where on time I think the Orange and Black went into the stands and plugged a few fans.

There was a bankruptcy threat looming over OEL's old team Tingsryd, which would also have them automatically demoted.
They were like USD 250,000 short. OEL donated 150,000 and two other sponsors split the remaining 100,000.
There will still be a hearing with the league, where they need to present an economic recovery plan and get it approved, but they should be good to go.

OEL didn't play here. Much like his air thief buddy Louise, he took up space.
Canucks have done well with Swedish players for the most part. Those two were crooks and just cashed a cheque. Give me Lars Lindgren and Thomas Gradin over those two slugs.

Just how much time did EP40 spend with Loui the loser anyway?
There are concerns

So Aidan McDonough did sign an AHL contract. I waw skeptical that he would, the guy is as slow as molasses and not terribly effective at the AHL level. Dynamite when he does get the puck on his stick in with time in shooting range, but that only seems to happen a handful of times a season.
Best of luck.
Aidan McDonough Inks One-Year AHL Deal With Charlotte

Another forward is in the mix for Charlotte, as the Checkers have signed Aidan McDonough to a one-year AHL deal.
McDonough, 24, completed his first full pro season last year, notching 19 points (11g, 8a) in 58 games for the Abbotsford Canucks. A seventh-round pick by Vancouver, the Massachusetts native made his NHL debut at the end of the 2022-23 season, appearing in six games for the Canucks and scoring his first career goal.
Prior to turning pro McDonough spent four seasons at Northeastern, where he posted 124 points (66g, 58a) in 124 games. During his collegiate career he earned spots on the NCAA First All-American Team and the Hockey East First All-Star Team in his junior and senior years and helped lead the Huskies to a Hockey East regular season title in 2021-22.

Lafferty is actually $2M per season over two years. I honestly thought he should be looking for "roster spot" with his next contract. Guess I was wrong. Or were the Sabres....
