Must seem like yesterday, eh?
I don't think Paddy was even alive the last time the Leaves won the Cup.

Paddy must have finally been brave enough to jump out of the closet when the Leaves signed Jordan Subban to a 2-way contract.

They finally have the D to take them to the cup!
Heavy is the Tarp...

Today is a day to rejoice and soak in the most LEGENDARY play by play man who has ever called a hockey game in this country... JOE BOWEN the heart and soul & the voice of the greatest franchise in pro sports today bar none THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAF... the dulcet tones he provides and his wearing his emotions on his sleeve are second to none Just like THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAF themselves SECOND TO NONE... As most of us are gearing up for the Weekend as its quickly approaching for those on the west coast that has more than one meaning it could mean looking forward to days off unless you live in East Van and are on some form social assistance in which case u make a living of sponging of the good people of ONTARIO to provide for you or it could mean another in the long line of burgeoning musical artists from THE 6 THE ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF CANADA, TORONTO 8-) & Speaking of great entertainers I give U HOCKEY ROYALTY JOE BOWEN enjoy 8-)

Chris Nichols of Nichols on Hockey wrote that Elliotte Friedman felt the Toronto Maple leaves and forward William Nylander are not close on a contract extension. He said on Sportsnet 960 Thursday that articles written about this negotiation dragging into September might not be far off base.

leaves probably want/prefer a Nikolaj Ehlers 6x6 contract, but Nylander imo is worth a tad more, if he got offered 7m aav, it'd be done by now, maybe they'll settle around $6.6ish m per
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Man it would be SO SWEET if Nylander signed a 4-year offer sheet at $8M per!

It would be tough on the Leaves' cap to match... what with Matthews' + Marner's extensions coming up

... and if they did match, Nylander would be a UFA in 4 years.

The team that signs him would only give up a 1st + 2nd + 3rd if Leaves didn't match.

The Architect, a President who is a LEADER the man entrusted with restoring THE MAPLE LEAF back to the TOP of the sporting world where THEY RIGHTFULLY BELONG... As we await the return of training camp as people from the west coast and those fortunate enough who live on the PRAIRIE who have cable 8-) I know this is an exciting time... A time where canuck fans get excited for their team before the annual collapse into the 73 point oblivion that is alas expected... But fear not, John Tavares stories on TSN & Sportsnet and on the radio airwaves are on the way to tide LEAF NATION over... And we all know that canuck fans Cannot get enough of their FILL of THE MAPLE LEAF and the inter workings of the organization the signings the trades the prospects the salary cap implications It just goes to show HOW FAR AND WIDE LEAF NATION'S net extends 8-) & with that said lets give a watch to a REAL LEADER at work Shanny enjoy 8-)

Reading ole Paddy's posts these days is like visiting an uncle over taken with dementia/Alzheimers. They are there in body, but not in spirit. Blank. Vacant. Devoid. A vessel (body) carrying something utterly unrecognizable. Paddy is long gone, nothing we can do to get him back, except rejoice in our memories of the old ole paddy, the fella who wore his canuck badge on his heart sleave, proudly.

It's fun to bash the leaves as the Toronto media and their fans are relentless to us Canucks fans...remember em when Luongo had some problems and how their goalie was doing better for a bit compared to Lu...before the Bruins destroyed em ha.
