They cant get us all (without an automated sentry chain gun)

(which they'll have.... plus alien high tech evaporation ray guns).

We went out there a few years back. Lots of sensors around, and you don't see anyone until you get up to the fence, then the black trucks arrive.

.
Area 51 is a fully functional military base. It has, and continues to do exactly what it was designed to do.

You did? I saw on a couple different alien expose shows how serious the security is there. I would love to sit back in a lawn chair and watch idiots try and run in there en masse. Id camp out for weeks to get a good view of that

Mick check out this fuckin thing man. Active Denial System...wtf! That's incredible

Similar to some old nuclear sites in Idaho

The Active Denial System (ADS) is a non-lethal, directed-energy weapon developed by the U.S. military

Just kidding around Dan; the whole thing is growing incredibly and the interest in Area 51 has now passed to the Next generation
and it's blowing up with intrigue.

But like I said, the base is functioning exactly like it's designed to.
Your driving down from Reno to Vegas, your looking off to the east, you know it's there and you get a chill up the back of your neck.
I wanna see, I gotta.
.

.

.lol; I've been to Nellis twice doing aviation photography. But there are those "restricted parts". ;)

Apparently the plan is to eventually turn us all into goosestepping stooges and 1984 is just around the corner.

Thoughts Reef?

1984 was 35 years ago.
And I spent the first half of it serving in the military.

I was younger then.

Btw, if you like dystopian novels about totalitarian government, I could recommend Kallocain by Karin Boye. The first time I read it, it felt a bit inspired by Orwell's 1984, but then I realized Kallocain was published in 1940 and Orwell's book in 1949... :o

It's available on line for free.

Sadly, Boye committed suicide in 1941.

If keeping a watch for enemy forces invading Sweden in 1983-84 in minus 40 degree temperature doesn't drive you to drugs

... nothing will.

I remember a guy from Stockholm who claimed he only smoked at parties. We were in the woods in mid winter, temperatures were between -30 and -40. At three a.m. I was replacing him standing guard outside the tent. He was smoking.
I looked at him and said ”don’t ever invite me to one of your parties”.

For such a seemingly liberal and progressive nation you guys sure are behind the curve when it comes to prohibition of a harmless party favour.
