NHL & NHLPA announced Colorado's Valeri Nichushkin is now in Stage 3 of the Player Assistance Program.

As a result, Nichushkin will be suspended without pay for a minimum of six months, then can apply for reinstatement.

Some speculation is that Nichushkin's recent suspensions are from -------- addiction due to previous serious foot injury in 2022.

No, the contract does not count against the cap while he is suspended.

But he is eligible to for reinstatement in mid-November.

One would think reinstatement is likely, what with all that money hanging in the balance.

If reinstated, his cap hit would suddenly come into effect at that time.

Tough situation indeed for the Avs.

Nichushkin is a FORCE in the playoffs, it's sad that his addiction keeps removing him from dat dere.

The Bruins probably can’t rally and get past the Panthers, but for however long they hang in you can bet the officials will try to make Sweeney regret his comments yesterday…..even though he was spot on…..actually, especially because he was.
