Matt Hasbeen Sekeres would agree with you

I’m gonna go with the player’s valet and part time substance abuse and addictions councillor.
Wait….. Are we talking about Russ or Geoff?
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Loaded with Eeyores.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 6:35 amAgree. This board has suddenly become filled with Eeyores. I don't think we're taking into account how serious Quinn is taking the captaincy, and the respect the team has given him by entrusting him with this position. For him to refuse to sign another contract and walk to free agency would be completely out of character.Picker of Cherries wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 8:32 pm Sorry for looking for white swan events, but my positivity is almost Blob like these days.
The odds are good Hughes will resign in Vancouver.
The odds are good Petey will be fine next season.
The odds are good Rutherford can get the three forwards he and I said this team needs this off-season.
The odds are good that the goalies and defence will be fine.
The odds are good Manny leads the team to a big bounce back.
Alls good…, and if I’m wrong, I have two words for you - Gavin McKenna!
Also, who wants to live in fucking New Jersey.

Courtnall should have a statue in front of the building. He was instrumental in getting Eye Bags here and he finally made sure the butcher that followed Ol Samsonite Eyes wan out of time.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 7:46 pmTime for the old man to be put out to pasture. So you’re on board with Sekeres as well, either bring back the unemployed for over a decade - Gillis or go all in on Geoff Courtnall. Your buddy Sekeres has been pumping these two tires forever, he’s carrying the Botchford torch.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:24 amCourtnall should have a statue in front of the building. Are you already done with Rutherford and Allvin. They have dropped the ball massively!

So an advisor to the owner?
Replace Rujtherford in the Linden role?
I think there was some talk in the past of him taking on an advisor role but it obviously did not pan out.
I believe he had some involvement with Demitra coming here.
He coached post career but does he have any Hockey Management experience?
Maybe in this market we should George Costanza it, do the opposite.....

Rutherford is a pain in the ass because he has no filter. Much like Brian Burke. Shut up for fuck sakes.
How much is on Fredo? He hired Bruce when he booted Lennie Small, after someone stopped cutting up Elmer's food. Then he hires a snake oil salesman in Rutherford who brings in his own puppet. Its like going from Roseanne Barr to a tandem of Joan Rivers and Mr Dressup. Sure its better but two broken ribs is probably better than two broken legs as well.
Find the up and comers in the Winnipeg or Carolina organizations. Look at the money management. Fifteen years of solid hockey for each team. Operate under a budget and constantly churn out good young players through drafting, signing and trading. They bring in two to three young guys every year that actually make a difference. There's little to no dead cap, no Eriksson or Poolman millstones. Their fans get treated to a consistent, quality product.

Based on what? Quinn's statement in 2021 that it would be a dream to play with his bros? What brother wouldn't?
Maybe more credit should be given to Quinn 's character than the ramblings of an old man.
That's my opinion.
Still feels to me like the writing is on the wall.
But that's just like my donkyish opinion man.
And it's not based only on the ramblings of an old man.
It's based on his desire to win combined with the appearance of disconnect in our front office.
It's based on the Miller fiasco and his apparent leanings there.
It's based on the Tocchet situation.
It's based on him asking his captain to train with him and (allegedly) being declined.
Again, like with EP, I hope I am wrong.
....based on 55+ years of Canuckdom. Mike Murphy's Law (only ex-Canuck Murphy I can think of); anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Pom pom waiving don't work in these parts. I'm with Eeyore.
...ooh, just remembered Rob (and Dan??).
