If the league finally throws us a bone in 2027 DuPont I predict will be a bigger prize than McKenna.
Just a pile of BS the Leaves jump up to even get a 1st overall.
This is on the shortlist of the very few games I’d really like to win this season.

It's true that tanking can be hard on the fanbase.
But the only requirement is to finish the season with amongst the lowest points in the League. There's no need to get pushed around in the process.
In fact, I think I have said here that one way to maintain fan engagement through the process is to ice a serious goon squad. Pound it into the subconscious of the rest of the League that when they come to Vancouver, all they want to do is go for a nice, clean, non-physical, skate and take the two points while minimizing their injury risk.

The old TFGs traded a very young 10th overall for a 4th rounder. He needed to clear waivers to be sent down by then and they didn't think there a roster spot for him.
...yet they made room for Danton Heinen, Daniel Sprong, and Nils Aman on opening night(!)
