That's going to be a battle all year.

As we've seen many years previously, finishing last doesn't guarantee the 1st OA draft pick. As long as my Flames finish in the bottom 3, I'll be happy. I'm sure the Canucks will be somewhere around there as well.

It would actually be better to finish 30th...have the Flames finish last and for Vancouver to pull the first pick from Calgarys grasp...

Don… man…

I mean, not that I have any more love for the Flames than anybody else here besides BCE, but dude… that’s cold.

That kind of hate is usually reserved for Toronto or Edmonton, right.

Lol Lancer....my hate for Calgary is equal to that of Edmonton.

Toronto is on another level entirely.

But.

Fuck 'em all.

Even when they suck, some of us will always hate Calgary the most. They’ve earned it.

Do you like anyone, old man Donny?

I thought you also hated Winterpig... or is that just the "city" and not the team?

Fuck 'em all... especially Otto.

Looks good on Tocchet. Guy went for greener pastures - how green are they now, Tocchy? :)

Not that there’d be any use in putting that toothpaste back in the tube; I think we have the better coach for a team in a rebuild; but it is perhaps vindicating to see all the same.

What a mirage that season was.

Calgary really doesn't need Dupont - they really need a centre. There are plenty of them at the top of the draft. So, if they don't get the 1st OA pick, it's not a big deal.

Yeah...that's the unfortunate part of my fantasy...Conroy with the first pick and not needing Dupont could be dangerous as hell....

Oh if Conroy got the first pick, he would take Dupont. Then he would be able to deal one of the other good D men and a another draft pick, for a good centre draft pick and would come out smelling like a rose.
