Lankinen is having himself a game. Marcus Pettersson too.

Games like this make me question why they signed Joshua to that contract.

I agree. He should have popped a few Advils and been far more ready for the season. What a wimp.

If we’re gonna win it better be in OT.

At least half a dagger in Calgary’s heart.

You'd think he was fully castrated, not just partially.

Lankinen stood on his head, but it wasn't enough.

What motion? He lumbers around like Dana Murzyn out there.

One thing he has shown throughout his career is that he cannot block out his personal issues and play the game. He looks miserable and hi splay is showing it. Not doing himself any favours. At this rate 5 years would be too long. He is the type of the player that should excel on a new team, one that wants him.

He can’t drive play. Put him on a line with a centre that can, and he’ll score lots. If I were him, I’d try to go to a team that has a Bedard, Fantilli, or Celebrini type young centre. Hometown Minnesota isn’t ideal because they don’t have much for dominating centres. He’d want to play with Kaprizov and ride off his coattails.

I wonder how much he’ll get paid this summer as a UFA? I don’t know if anyone will offer 8m per with term more than 5 years that was rumoured offered by the Canucks, maybe Chicago is his best bet for big money. Really DeBrusk’s contract of 5.5m x 7 seems like a pretty fair comparable. He’ll probably get more, but I would want the Canucks to pay it.

Exactly. This also means his current $6,750,000 is already too much for what he brings.

Good points all around. I'll also be curious where he ends up and for how much.
