I could see how the the two teams might be confused with each other.

the Canucks have signed goaltender Chris Driedger to a Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement and hired Sean Finn as an Amateur Scout.

I'm guessing Driedger is going to be a veteran presence in Abby?

Finn apparently has experience with the Russian leagues.

I guess they weren't comfortable with Driedger or Tolopilo backing up Lankinen.

We'll see what Torenius can do with the guy.

AI had him as the top goalie that might be available on waivers.

He is younger than Tolopilo with likely more upside so I approve. Tolopilo has a good chance of going through waivers, giving more depth to possibly trade away for a pick once some team gets into injury trouble.

Chytil has been placed on IR

Good for Cootes. Pair him up with Bains and let him really learn the pro game.

Abby looking more exciting than the parent club if last night was any indication.

I have seen the concern expressed here that Abbotsford might actually be a more physically dangerous place for Cootes.

I don't watch any AHL games and have no basis for an opinion about that. How many here share that concern?

Has it been addressed at the roster level, in terms of deterrence (ideally, thermonuclear) ?

I haven't been following Abby since I dropped my subsxcription last year, but that's a valid concern RG.

I sure hope they bring in some muscle but they don't seem terribly aware of this aspect of the game to me so far.
