It’s going to be very difficult to land a legitimate centre this summer without having to pay through the nose for. Could’ve used that NYR first to coax Cozens out of Buffalo or Norris out of Ottawa. Weird
Yah, I think they were hoping Chytil could help fill in. He had an initial good start when he arrived for a few games, but seemed to quickly fizzle out. Of course with our luck, he got injured.

I am sure mgmt will do everything they can to address this need in the offseason. They need to find at least 1 decent centerman who can produce some offence, maybe a 2nd centre to play in the bottom 6.
Everyone was screaming bloody murder to fix the defence. We did, at the expense of our centre position. Now we are screaming to fix our centre position. The question now is, at what expense? ‘Round, Round We Go’ - Trooper

Someone like Horvat or Miller
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

To be fair, I think mgmt's original intent was to build with a duo of JT & EP40 as the 2 horses/core players up front and down the middle. Unfortunately, for whatever reason: rift with Petey, crossed the line with the coaching staff, personal issues or whatever gossip u want, they felt like they had to move on from Millzy. He had a full no trade clause too so it greatly limited our ability to get top return for him.

Expecting Chytil to replace Miller is a mystery to me. There is very little in the way of quality UFA centres this summer, I’m not interested in overpaying for Sam Bennett. There were better options for signing a top 4 UFA D-man this summer (Chychrun, Ekblad, MPete, Pionk) why not flip the NYR 1st for a top 2 line centre instead of flipping cut for MPete whom was also a pending UFA. They have very zero depth in asset options to offer up to acquire a top 2 line centre via a trade. They backed themselves into a corner. Don’t be surprised to see Willander dealt. He’s all they have that will move the needle on getting a team to give up a quality centre.

No game thread up yet but it sounds like Demko starts tonight.

It seems Lankinen isn't feeling great.

Both Pettersson and Hoglander have returned to Vancouver and will be unavailable for the remainder of the road trip.

Demko staring earlier than they planned as Lankinen has been sick. Was sick during the Rangers game which may in part explain his less than stellar performance. But if that is true then they should've played Silovs.

It's a shame, but I guess Tocchet has lost faith in the Latvian.

Because this team needed more questions than answers organizationally between the pipes.

If they fall anymore out of the race I'd call up that other keeper and see what he has. Silovs needs waivers next year. If he hasn't got what it takes they may need to move him.

The Latvian sucks at this point and time. That's not on Tocchet. He could have a dump truck full of faith. The guy isn't stopping the puck.

If Demko can stay healthy, maybe Silovs can build some value back up in Abbotsford.

Has there been any leaks on the severity of Chytyl's Conky, or what's wrong with Petey and Hogs?

Let me look on my Signal app. I’m in a ‘group chat’ with some officials whom have access to some very sensitive information.
