MPete is fine but shoulda waited until draft day and bought his negotiating rights for a 4th rd pick or something.
I dunno, MP29 is the type of player that would cost a 2nd rounder minimum @ TDD and most likely a mid 1st. Which other team trades for him has negotiating rights with him and they would prob want to try to sign him and not lose him for nothing. The Nucks would risk not getting him at all and it's no secret this mgmt team has coveted him for awhile now.
The game the other day, they were saying that ever since we got MP29, we're #1 in the league on the PK. This is no coincidence, he's sneaky good defensively, like Chris Tanev good. Add in the fact he's way younger and has that long reach. He's just hitting his prime now and can play those heavy shut down minutes for years to come. I bet mgmt believes he'll be a great mentor to Willander and D-Petey25 as well.
I like MPete. It’s the logic of trading two legitimate top 2 line centres in Horvat and Miller for no legitimate forward in return and now we can barely score goals. I get the Hronek return on Horvat but the main piece coming back for centre Miller should have been a legitimate forward/centre. I’m sorry but Chytil ain’t cuttin’ the mustard. Then to flip the NYR first for a defenceman? Allvin loses me there no offence to MPete. It’s going to be very difficult to land a legitimate centre this summer without having to pay through the nose for. Could’ve used that NYR first to coax Cozens out of Buffalo or Norris out of Ottawa. Weird

They are gonna try to make up for their dismal prospect pool by signing college UFA’s. Fools gold, they rarely pan out, but Allvin may think he is different in that the historical stats of signing college UFAs will not apply here.
Prospect pool is far better than the clown show they inherited.

Blue line pipeline looks quite good, but even though there are some intriguing winger (IMO Sushi’s graduated already) prospects it’s mostly meh. Then there is the gaping void of centre prospects that could reasonably slot in the top-6 in the next three years.
I’m very interested in what management does at this draft to bolster the middle.

Tocchet said they’ll need to recall a centre. Maybe Raty on Monday in Jersey.
Perhaps Klimovich goes with him if Hoglander is going to be out?
Klimovich peaked years ago. He isnt going anywhere except the airport
Klimovich has experienced an improbable awakening in the past few weeks. He has somehow developed an IQ. It's been a helluva sudxden transformation. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't been watching it with my own eyes, and even then I'm still kinda skeptical somehow.
JT said he was having dinner with several Canuck former teammates on Friday evening. I'm guessing Brock, Meyers, And Garland. Would Hughes attend or would he feel as Captain he couldn't.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

That's interesting JT went out for dinner with ex teammates. Usually he's getting his lunch fed to him.
Dude needs a super sized pullup. First player I've ever heard of that got a timeout.
Legend in his own mind.
I heard they went to Sparks Steakhouse

Yah, I think they were hoping Chytil could help fill in. He had an initial good start when he arrived for a few games, but seemed to quickly fizzle out. Of course with our luck, he got injured.
I am sure mgmt will do everything they can to address this need in the offseason. They need to find at least 1 decent centerman who can produce some offence, maybe a 2nd centre to play in the bottom 6.
