Josh Norris fits the profile better as a Baldy target in my opinion.

Hughes best friend factor played into why they targeted Norris. I also think Norris is a better player than Cozens but unfortunately he is very injury prone. Cozens would’ve be available if he wasn’t playing so shitty for two seasons now. I doubt Cozens recovers. It’s a sad off between him and Norris - one player is injury prone and one player isn’t meeting his lofty expectations from when he was drafted. You pick Norris because of the Hughes connection, the Norris interest was more about Hughes and resigning him.

Norris is Hughes' buddy, and the Baldies don't like Canadian players.

Yep they've shipped a gaggle of good Canadian players since they've been . Like really good players. The kind of guys you build teams around.

I'm the most loyal Canadian fan here. The worm will turn eventually and we will get some more homegrown players. There was a diaper fire here when they got rid of an American. Is there better players they missed after Lekkerimäki and Wilander? I don't see a bias. Not yet.

Sure, in impact.

But the shot looks to me to be very good and his hands are excellent. The Sea of Gradlund's didn't have this. (Well, Baerstchi had pretty good mitts).
None of that matters much if he can't find a way to make space or extend possession. But if he can, he has weapons lacking on most of the team which are must needed. Part of why he can't is this is his first North American season and he's adjusting to fast pace and smaller ice; part of it is that he is a toothpick. Time and age and training all can and should be expected to positively contribute.

No writing off; still has a high ceiling (and a crash and burn floor).
