The EU response, 25% tariffs on 890 US products, including motorcycles, yachts, jeans, bed linen, tobacco, corn, rice, cranberries, bourbon, peanut butter and orange juice.

The EU measures will primarily punish industries in states that voted for Trump in 2016, which according to EU trade commissionary Cecilia Markström is purely coincidental.

Shows that Trump is either a) trying to deflect the investigation into Russia b) he really has no idea of what he is doing but loves playing king and having everyone obey him.

No, this is how he runs his businesses.

He ignores what the contracts stipulate, refuses to make good on it, renogotiates to pay cents on the dollars, declares bankrupcy and walks away unscathed while his contractors and business partners go belly up. And then brags about it.

Unfortunately, if he does the same thing in international politics, the USA will end up as his old Atlantic City casinos...

We tend to take the easy ways out in Canada and that wasn't always the case.

Remember; It was an election promise, so why freak now.

We can and should expand industries, open new doors.
Hell: Even start selling our finished products again.

Canada just lost its exemption this week. Rather than go through the usual dispute channels, Canada responded with very specific tariffs targeting industries and products from states critical to Trump and his senior supporters. For example chocolate - Hersey Pennsylvania, Trump needs Pennsylvania. Bourbon - Tennessee for similar reasons.

Taking bets on when Trump gets impeached or he steps down.
