How do we still have Kane?
Man, surprised Pearse70 went for a 7th rounder, but no one wanted Kaner91? I would take Kaner over Pearse all day, any day, especially in playoffs. He bigger, more skilled and faster.

Yeah, but Kaner sucked all year long, Todd. Nobody needs that mess around.
They say Pearsy is good in the room...

I admit that I'd rather have Podkolizin than go through the Kane experiment. I also think we should have gotten something more back in the Kane trade for giving the Oilers that type of cap relief.

Not much you can do when the coach does not like a player, you then have to move the player and what you can in a deal.

Lowkey blame Tocchet for both the rise and the fall. A structure coach has his effects from his own blue line in but he just didnβt know how to coach offense except never turn it over at the other blue. This means no dangles or lateral movement. Players who take odd angles to the net like Podkolzin and Kuzmenko had to be made an example of.

Finally the true story came out:
β¦β¦
As the players rush to get out of the locker roomβtheir footsteps heavy, their eyes avoiding one anotherβthe silence returns. The only thing left in the room is the faint, mocking scent of stale popcorn and the lingering, spectral chill of a franchise that has officially given up on being a hockey team and accepted its true identity: a multi-million dollar monument to human suffering.
Beautiful!
