Watching Trump work you can tell he comes from the corporate world and is not a career politician. CEO tend to get their way. They will will say what they want to accomplish or what issue they want to address and usually offer some sort of methodology they think will work. The methodology is less important to them. That is for the underlings to refine and develop. In fact the suggested methodology is often a bunch of bluff and bluster that gets people worked up and motivated to find the solution.
It is what he did with tax reform, it is what he is doing with Korea and DACA and steel tariffs.
Wait for the outcomes and implementations folks. They end up being much more balanced than many fear.

I get your reasoning, but keep in mind that Trump has a history of running companies into the ground, then walk away even richer than he was. Not to mention the scores of contractors and suppliers he has forced out of business. If history repeats itself, he will keep adding wealth during his presidency and leave a bankrupt USA behind.
