Not Fun????!!!! The comedy that Tuna is providing is pure GOLD! How can it not be fun?

I never said Bozak was great.BigTuna wrote:First of all, no rankings for prospects have come out yet that are current, so you cannot say leaves will be bottom 5. In fact if you knew any facts you would know many of the leaves prospects like Neilson, Dermot, Brooks, etc will be prospects with much higher rankings the next time a current one comes out.Strangelove wrote:Strangelove: "2 of your top 5 scoring forwards are UFAs in 1.3 years."BigTuna wrote: LOL @ trying to spin losing Tyler Bozak as a negative. He is NOT one of the leaves top 5 forwards at all. Bozak's a bottom 6 forward on this leaves team. I guess you somehow think he's better than Kadri?
Marner .87 points-per-game
Matthews .81
JVR .80
Kadri .74
Bozak .71
Is English your second language?![]()
And BTW, Nylander is currently tied with Bozak for points. My point was it's ridiculous to spin losing Tyler Bozak as some horrible negative for the leaves. Would you guys even consider him good? You've knocked far superior players on the leaves in recent weeks.
All of a sudden when it's convenient, Tyler Bozak is great. LOL.
Are you implying Tuna meant "Rebuild is over... just needs to add some massive UFA contracts"?Blob Mckenzie wrote:I'd assume they would have the cap space when Bozak and JVR depart ..
Doc, you know we allow a lot leeway on here, but you may have gone too far with that...Strangelove wrote:Is "Blob Mckenzie" a Tuna sock?
The leaves need to build at forward? Are you serious? Majority of NHL teams would have Kapanen on their NHL roster this year. Matthews/Marner are the best young 1-2 punch in the entire NHL. The leaves right now have one of the best offences in the entire NHL.Strangelove wrote:I never said Bozak was great.BigTuna wrote:First of all, no rankings for prospects have come out yet that are current, so you cannot say leaves will be bottom 5. I merely pointed out that he and JVR are 2 of your top 5 scoring forwards and UFAs in 1.3 years.
YOU said my statement wasn't true.
YOU were wrong.
(btw Nylander sits alone in 6th spot with .68 points-per-game)
(also btw Bozo is in the top-6 in icetime-per-game among Leaves forwards)
I pointed at this (among other things) in response to you saying the Leaves rebuild is over.
(one of the dumbest things you've ever said in a looong history of dumb things)
Point being, not only do Leaves need to build at goal + dee... but also at the forward position.
(who is going to replace what Bozo and Van Rumpsdick bring in 1.3 years)
(even if they are mediocre players according to you?)
Players like "Neilson, Dermot, Brooks"
... lol...
... most definitely give the Leaves a "bottom 5 prospect pool" moving forward!
Kapanen never graduated to the NHL and now his career may be over according to rumours.BigTuna wrote: The leaves need to build at forward? Are you serious? Majority of NHL teams would have Kapanen on their NHL roster this year.
Bozo will likely be in decline by then... why do you never respond about JVR?BigTuna wrote: Again, you're embarrassing yourself by trying to sell losing Tyler Bozak as some big loss that can't be overcome. And if they want to sign him, they certainly can.
Bozo and Nylander are both playing 16+ minutes this year, is Nylander gonna play 33 minutes?BigTuna wrote: All Bozak is doing is taking time away from a superior player in Nylander. You're much better giving Nylander those minutes.
Kapanen is not done.. What rumours are you reading? He'll be fine. And BTW, haven't you learned your lessen about small players yet? ("Marner will be a bust")Strangelove wrote:Kapanen never graduated to the NHL and now his career may be over according to rumours.BigTuna wrote: The leaves need to build at forward? Are you serious? We've seen plenty of young shrimps (Vey et al) put up better numbers than him in the AHL
... but couldn't cut it in the bigs.

Some of those UFAs need to be replaced.. also raises to Hyman/Brown/Zaitsev will eat most of that up.BigTuna wrote:They have a ton of cap $ coming off the books this summer.
"The Saviour"? He can't crack the lineup.RoyalDude wrote:Kapanen the Saviour. Have there EVER been any player who has put up some decent numbers in the AHL and never matched those feats in the NHL? Hmmmmmm
