They said he’s old enough to play in the AHL, not that he’d probably be sent there. So is anyone else that’s 20 years old.

He will likely play on the 3rd pairing for a full year under Trotz, behind Mayfield and Pulock on the right side. I’d be pretty shocked if he isn’t on the middle pairing after a full year. Trotz brings along young D men slowly, see Suter, Weber, Hamhuis, Josi, Ekholm, Ellis etc.

Him not being quite ready to anchor that 1st pair is the only scenario where he could be scooped up Mick.

Napkin and jewlevi are bottom pairing guys. The team needs top pairing calibre prospects to take that next step and the only way you get soemone like Dobson is if you pony up a Horvat or a Boeser minimum.

The original pipedream trade was Horvat and Boeser for Barzal and Dobson.

A. Barzal scored 85 points playing for an offense first coach in his rookie season before Trotz came in and shifted their focus. Hes going to score alot of points and drive the play bigtime so theres your outscoring of problems solution

B. Top end Dmen command massive packages and trades like this are once a decade. Be prepared to pony up premium assets to land a top pairing calibre 20 yr old 6'4" right sider.

That trade benefits both sides by drawing from each teams strengths to shore up glaring weakenesses.

Probably a weight from when he was drafted two years ago. I don’t trust those heights and weights. They have Jarome Iginla as 6ft 1 and Brendan Morrison at 5ft 11. Neither is accurate

I saw Iggy walking around Vancouver with his wife and kids in 2010 during the Olympics. His wife is hot! He’s shorter than me by a bit and I’m 6ft. I mean he’s not far off like B-Mo who’s maybe 5 ft 8. Morrison was my buddy’s next door neighbor in Anmore. Have met him a couple times. Very nice individual. But he’s a small guy
