How you can defend this reckless spending is mind boggling.
This from the guy that voted Liberal.....
Voted for an Economist. Not a shouty attack dog.
Like a reasonable person

PP gets voted out by his own riding - and instead of accepting Canadians are tired of funding this guy's lifestyle, he decides to spend more taxpayers' money on a "bi-election" in a riding he doesn't have any connection to, removing a duly elected MP.
And people believe this fool cares about Government spending. Just look at his salary and
expenses compared to his peers.
Yeah. I’m not a fan of the parachuting.
And the lack of connection…..lame…..none whatsoever outside of that he was born in Calgary, and U of C is his Alma mater. Weak.
Mid Mëds. Like saying Carney has a connection to the NWT.
Two decades away from AB. That's a life time for some voters.
I don't want my taxes to pay for some douche who his own riding decided against.
Connection is connection.
I was born in Maple Ridge and lived in the LML until I was 14. When people ask, that's always where I "grew up".
Connection is subjective.
I'd say a guy who was born and raised in Calgary, spent the first 24 years of his life there, probably still has connections and roots in the city.
You may not like it, but it's true. So continue to bitch and moan about the guy.
Agreed. Born and raised in Umeå, where I lived till I was 24 (minus one year in Iowa and 15 months in the military in Boden/Kristinehamn). Then six years in Gothenburg (university) and 32 years in Gävle.
If a team from Gävle plays a team from Umeå, I root for Umeå. Umeå is where my heart is.
Most of my friends live in (or are from) Umeå. I know people here as well, but they are more like acquaintances.
I hang out with them, we have a good time, but the connection I have to my childhood friends is deeper.
I'm thinking of maybe moving up there again when I retire. We'll see. Depends a bit on where my daughters settle down.
One of them is still "living" in Gävle, but studying at the university in Umeå, so going back and forth a lot.

Guy costs us more in taxes than 20 of the other Gov. employees combined and has done FAR less than all of them.
How you can defend this reckless spending is mind boggling.
I read your previous link. What is your point? The Conservatives spent money that the government alloted them. That web site doesn't say what the money was spent on (salaries. But for what?), nor how it was alloted. Without more info, it is a meaningless number. I recommend you do a freedom of information request to get the details to back up your "reckless spending" claim.
On a related note, would you consider a $60billion deficit reckless?

Hmm... I would think a "Salary" is pretty self-explanatory. Maybe you are asking what PP did to earn his? I'd ask that same question, but I'm sure not even a ATIP request would solve that fuckin' mystery. But maybe I'm just wading in the wrong swamp.
"Government allotted them???" - Yes. They work for the Government, who pays their salary/expenses. Relative spending says enough.
Circling the drain indeed.

A pandemic, and a feckless leader combined for that reckless spending. Nothing to do with PP, or Carney. Not sure what your point is here.

It's not his salary. It's the salaries for employees supporting the position of Leader of the Opposition. So, again, how is this "reckless"

My point is this. You are calling spending by Poilievre's position as leader of the opposition reckless. Yet, you deflect on the 60 billion debt, saying it was from the pandemic 3 years ago. It clearly is not, seeing as it was under 40 the previous year and was fueled by new spending.
And, how do you square the circle of Carney being Trudeau 's financial advisor for 5 years, with him publicly supporting the deficits but bearing no responsibility. My perception is that Carney was either totally ignored by Trudeau and was just a shiny bauble for the media, or he was in on it. Both smell bad and do little to inspire confidence in both his economic prowess or his leadership ability. Add on top his own projections of $225b over the next 4 years (56b per year on average), and it does seem very reckless indeed.

lol.. Man, I didn't see it that way at all.
Carney flipped over faster than a prom queen at the after party.
After spending his entire campaign platform on 'elbows up' and standing up to Trump, during the 3:18 minutes he was allowed to talk during the meeting (Trump talked for 29:47) he called him a "great transformational President"
- Didn't stand up for Canada when Trump hinted 51st state to his face.
- Rolled out the conservative platform as his (Hard on crime & drugs, government accountability, improving the economy, securing the borders, increased defence spending), opposed to what he campaigned on (no changes to C69, no changes to the 'catch and release' program, no changes to the current drug laws, no changes to border security) -- dude lied to someone there..
- Didn't stand up for his family when Trump called Freeland 'not a nice person, not nice at all' (Carney is the Godfather of Freelands kid)
- Didn't even flinch when the reporter asked if the US would lift the tariffs
- Carney tripped over his mouth again when he said he 'met the owners of Canada' on the campaign trail
- Didn't deny that Trump endorsed his campaign (over the Anti-Trump campaign the libs rolled with)
-went from "elbows up" to "thumbs up" without getting a single concession from Trump.
So, I'm sorry I cant see how 'Carney laid the boots to Trump' ??

That was 5 years ago on Epstien's island and it was consensual.
Last week's meeting was a whole lotta nothing. No change in tarrifs. No changes anywhere that I see.
