Question of what Meyers thought was answered pest game. Gutted. Big Miller fan.
Good teammate. Probably best in the room.
Likely would have acted/said the same thing if Petey was traded.
Doubt it.
We've all seen lots of these interviews after a trade.....we've all seen lots of scripted PC answers.
There was a ton of emotion there for Myers. Emotion rivalling what I've seen from guys after they've been eliminated in the conference or SC finals. Very doubtful he says the same thing if the other guy was the one moved out.

Hughes sure didn't look or sound thrilled that JT was gone.
Wouldn't it be a kick in the cunt if QH ended up departing in part because he did not like or agree with the manner in which Miller was treated & launched......
....oh the tangled webs we weave.
...y'all catch the footage of JT walking into the locker room pre-game for game prep 25 minutes before he was dealt.
....the fucking Flames didn't even do that to Kuz yesterday.
Dysfunctional.

He’s soft as butter. Andrew Alberts 2.0
Ghee, that doesn't sound very good.
A calamity of epic proportions
Can you clarify this for me?
Your reply is margarine-ly butter than the so-called Chef's.
He tried to make a pun! How dare he

Quinn Hughes seemed not too thrilled about it either.
I suspect the Petey clique consisted of Petey and Patrick Allvin.

Ok - so now that the dust has settled, the game is over I put the groceries away....
We traded a 1C, a 7D, and a warm body. | We get a 3C, 1 prospect and a 1st
On paper, it looks like we got bent over. Short term is a serious downgrade.
Now for the intangibles - we lost a moody player, and how much of a distraction he was in the dressing room is RUMOUR - so 'in theory' we should see a team with a load off their shoulders IF the RUMOURS were true. We lost a top Faceoff guy. We lost a guy who could take this team on his back (when motivated). We lost a guy who take a time-out this year.
We get a 3C, 6 years younger, with concussion issues. About 10% less in the FO%.
We get 5-rounder Dman prospect with size.
We get a conditional draft pick - that should be top 15, since the rangers SUCK.
Long term, we have to hope Mancini works out - one more year at 875k, then we'll see. Do we hold the pick, or use it to get help on D now? Do we want to keep wasting the "Hughes Era" - or plan for a post-Quinn world?
I'm sure management listened to a LOT of offers and figured this was the best they could do. Dumpster fire of a situation, and HOPEFULLY this puts the team back on track for the rest of the year.
Maybe now the media can shut the fuck up?

Well then, no wonder most on the team seemed unhappy... I mean, if that's the way it went down.
Do the deal early enough so teammates can have some time to say a few words. But, nope.
Dysfunctional right up until the end.
It's not even so much the trade of any one player. It's a 55 year streak and fans want to have trust that the right horses are assembled for us to hitch our wagons to. Have the right stewardship up above to drive this thing towards the intended goal.
I don't feel it. Not at hitching the heavy load to a show pony. I know the lead Clydesdale is the captain. Would expect to see a team of like-minded horses pull together.
Right now it looks like putting it back into the barn, prop it on blocks and disconnect the battery for another year. What faith should the fans have to invest in this shitshow with their time and money? I'm not seeing a lot of good reasons.

Amen.
A trade either way or both is worth it alone.

I guess JT will have Rempe to fight his battles for him in NY. He should have to take on bruisers like Bahl, Mantha or Brayden. He looked like a new born foal stumbling off the ice after getting punched out in St Louis.
Players can breathe again.
Management got it right.
Chytil putting up very solid numbers for 13 min of icetime. He was not tethered to Quinn Hughes and Brock Boeser and playing 20 min a night.

Yeahright.
A week to toot their own horns and further denigrate Miller then turn their manicured nails onto Petey if he does not step his play up to an 11.6 level.
Then onto the QH to NJ talk as this team is not likely to go anywhere soon amd Quinn rhymes with win baby.
