Sidney needs be cloned. This was neat to watch. I feel no need to dunk on people for hating on the concept of this event. We saw a shitload of skill, passion and anger. Ticked all three boxes for me. We all knew/know that the US is coming. I like to ham it up about Canada beating them 15/20 times (games played) in best on best. It's all we got. They are better at everything else. A lot of those games could have gone either way. I don't need to hear 1000 times about Canada is no good, etc. You are full of shit if you didn't get pumped for that game.

The series was way better than I thought it would be. The fights in the first game against the USA surprised me.

The games involving Sweden and Finland were pretty meh. Close scores in all but Finland vs USA, but frankly not all that great to watch.

The Canada vs USA games were very good. Obvious intensity. Fast. And both games could have gone either way.

Agree with Blobby and Fingers…..not as good as 87, and definitely would include Russia.

I was not really into the tournament to be honest. But I did love watching Canada play. I was surprised by the intensity and the total buy in from all the players from all of the teams. It obviously meant more than we had imagined it would. They are all aware that it was a tune up for the Olympics so that may explain why they all took it so seriously.

Now we have one year to see what out team will look like next year. Still a chance for a number of changes to be made.

Beat the hell out of the All Star game.
