At age 18 Johan Nilsson created eliteprospects.com in 1999.
He has now tragically succumbed to cancer at the mere age of 45, but leaves behind a great tool for looking up players to see where they have been and what they have achieved.

Won a truck race last weekend and was asked why he was so happy celebrating after all his wins, "you never know when the last one will be."

Family posted a few days ago that he was seriously ill and needed his fan's prayers

Yeah...so to that end....

Former Boston Bruins enforcer Lyndon Byers has been diagnosed with stage 3 CTE by @BU_CTE researchers after his death last year at age 61. His family is sharing the results to raise awareness and help prevent other athletes from suffering. Byers played 10 seasons in the NHL and spent decades as a beloved Boston radio personality.

Peter Forsberg, in the Swedish studio for Sweden's game yesterday, was visibly moved by the news. Said he was a close friend and a great guy, and that also having represented several players as an agent for after his career, he had meant a great deal to many in the hockey community.
Said that many of those who play with an edge are fantastic people off the ice, and Claude was definitely one of those.
