What about the other 29 teams that failed to offer him a contract?

He's actually a perfect fit for the leaves, early season success and then we'll lose sight of the whole team once the 50 game mark hits.

I was shocked to see Raymond go to the front of the net in the leaves-Sens highlights from last night. He didn't button hook or anything.

Yep, we're gonna really regret letting Mayray walk.

When is this franchise gonna figure out how important preseason scoring is.

We should have learned this lesson by now from NHL legends such as Fedor Federov, Sergei Shirikov and Steve Kariya...

Really hope Bolland gets KTFO on Hockey Night at some point early this season.

Little bastard's one good concussy away from wearing a bib for the rest of his life.

At least that's what I tell myself when I'm trying to calm down and get to sleep.

He was one of the reasons why I hate(d) the Hawks. Now, he just gives me one more reason to hate the leaves.

They were already going to get 5 for fighting... but they'd be damned if they were going to get an extra two each for taking their own helmets off.

What a stupid fuckin' rule.

And hybrid icing may sound great in theory but let's face it... it's just another thing for NHL "referees" to screw up.

Flyers sign Matt Read to four-year, $14.5 million extension
Matt Read was approaching the 2013-14 season knowing it was the final year of his first NHL deal. Talk about his future was something he tried to avoid this summer, with his mind focused on getting ready for the season.

Well, just days into training camp, Read won't have to worry about his status with the Philadelphia Flyers after this year. On Friday, he signed a four-year, $14.5 million extension with the team. He'll have a $3.625 cap hit.

Is Brad Boyes bad because he was in the same position?

Kass the Oiler killer strikes again!
The Edmonton Oilers announced Sunday morning that Sam Gagner will be out indefinitely after suffering a broken jaw in preseason play against Vancouver on Saturday night. Gagner suffered the injury on a high stick from Canucks’ forward Zack Kassian.

Music to my ears. Would have been nicer had it occurred on a cleaner play, but I don't mind him playing a little meaner.

In any case, any piece of misfortune for the Coilers is a good bit of news IMO. :D
