Yeah no I'll disagree with that. He's an elite goalie who is recovering from a major surgery. It takes time, likely not til next year will he regain his form unfortunately.

I'm in the resign Wankinen camp and explore options for Demko such as offering him a more reasonable extension. One where we can afford to run both of these goalies (4x5$ maybe)

If he says no then he's not necessarily worth the risk so see what he can fetch at the deadline or next summer

With only 1 year left on his contract, after this one, don't really see the point in buying him out.

Yes.

With only 1 year left on his contract, after this one, don't really see the point in buying him out.

As Ratman says…..Demko would at least return a pick. I’d say a 3rd rounder.
