We will be a better team if we can find someone to play with Hughes. Hronik looks good leading the defence.

The War Giraffe
They got their shit pushed in at home last game 6-1. They don't want to suck but they can't help it

Raty looks poised to grab a spot this year, or at least get into some games. Hoggy picking right up where he left off, that kid is for real.

Lekkermaki with 2 assists
On the ice when Kracken pulled goalie. Talk about giving him confidence.

Silovs was outstanding tonight. Hoglander with a great game. Raty and Friedman honourable mention.
Sasson invisible. D’Petey with a number of turnovers. No velocity on his passes.
I could see a number of cuts after tomorrow.

D Pettersson has some Luca Sbisa attributes in his repertoire.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 9:43 pm Silovs was outstanding tonight. Hoglander with a great game. Raty and Friedman honourable mention.

You could see right away last year when he came over at the end of the season in Abby that he was going to need at least one more year in Sweden.
If they force feed him AHL minutes it's going to be painful.

Silovs is proving last Spring was no fluke. He still moves around more than I think Clark or anyone else would like, but he's dialled-in.
Raty and Lekkerimaki are making cases to stay with the big club. Raty's skating has more jump, and he's more confident out there. His face-off ability isn't half-bad either. He should get some games this year but should be ready to replace Bluegers next season. Lekkerimaki made some nice plays even if he didn't take anyone off their seat, but his defensive plays stand out. I don't think he'll play in Vancouver the whole season, but he perhaps gives management leverage when it comes to Boeser's next deal. He's a player.
D-Petey needs a full year in the AHL before getting any consideration in Vancouver. Kid has some nice flashes of competency but a little too jumpy and slow to react.
Allriksson will be fun to watch develop. He'll be a project, but the kid's intriguing.
Friedman just keeps cementing his status as one of the most hated 'tweeners in the league. Half of Seattle wanted a piece of him.
Hoggy just keeps Hoggying. He deserves a chance on Petey's wing.
Tocchet has some intriguing options on the wings - and at centre as well if Raty keeps this up.

Letterkenny is quality. Good instincts and poise. Should see some NHL ice time and could surprise.
