I don't think the Ducks want to trade McTavish. They have already made their decision. they traded Zegras.

They just have a cheap owner, only reason they haven't signed the kid yet...

Starting offer with the core pieces of:

Lekkerimaki & 1st rounder
for
M.McTavish
Lol the Ducks hangup h phone pissing their pants laughing

Hoglander
Willander
2026 1st

Is the only way you’ll be able to pique Anaheim’s interest.

It would be unprotected 2026 1st, willy and lekky. Anything less is likely not going to draw interest

IMO McTavish could be worth it.

Yes, no pain no gain. We’ve created a mess down the middle at the top end, it needs to be painful to fix. The non painful route is chasing middle 6 tweeners like Roslovic and Chytil, a waste of fucking time = the mushy middle. You win with your horses. Right now we have one horse - Quinn Hughes. You can beef up the bottom 6 , middle six, bottom pairing, middle pairing all you damn like but ya win with your top dawgs end of day.

Bruins apparently shopping Centres Zacha and Middelstadt. Centres who are right up the Canucks mushy midfdle wheelhouse #wildcardhockey

If the acquisition cost is 'cap-dump' low (eg. 2nd rd pick or a Mancini type return), perhaps worth a kick - even though they are both signed till 26-27.

Otherwise steer clear.

Management's best option to fix the 2C position won't be cheap unless a rare opportunity appears over the course of the season. Maybe they replicate Benning's luck in a Miller-esque acquisition? Otherwise, we'll see what comes of the RFA sagas in Minnesota and Anaheim.

Maybe somebody like Dach becomes available with younger kids perhaps pushing him down the lineup? I guess we wait and see - just like management, it seems. Not like that is a bad approach. Why rush like Elmer to failed deals?

McTavish should be the only target IMO

(Of all the discussed possibilities)

Depends on the price. Zacha is a serviceable 2nd line centre. If Boston is rebuil
