Plotting how they can all move to NJ together I suspect.
Foote drives the tank and gets canned.
Petey keep acting aloof and playing like crap so he can be easily acquired.
Demko keep pulling the “I don’t fell well and can’t go to school”
And Hughes informs he won’t be re-signing in Vancouver.
Equals cup in NJ in two years.

Apparently Petey flew in from Sweden for a game of golf and some dinners with Foote, Demko and Huggy.
At the coaches request.
Sounds like an uncoachable player to me.........
Doesn’t mean he wanted to. He probably was agitated for having to do so. Let’s try to keep the controversy front and centre this off season.

The optimum path forward is certainly for the twig to rediscover his mojo for the Canucks so we are gonna need Mëds to stifle his abhorrent negatively towards twiggy thank you very much amen

LOL, love it.
We can re-name the game day threads "What will Mëds grouse about Petey today" threads - and the Skyo Trade thread to "Who will give us a bag of pucks for Petey" thread.

I believe the evidence is there to see that I haven’t really said much about him lately. A couple of posts. Chef is carrying the torch now.

As the guy who heard the uncoachable comment, I was told that was what the Sedin twins said. Linden was online a while back and basically said the same thing, so I'm not sure why it might be surprising. I have no issue with Petey personally and I'm fine if he sticks around, just telling you what I was told.
As for Buffalo, I think Petey and Dahlin are good buddies aren't they? I think I read that somewhere a while back. I wonder if Petey might also want a change given how last year went - that would be easier in a small market like Buffalo than it is here in Van. Most Swedish players are different, they don't seem to love the spotlight so perhaps there's more to this whole thing than we know.

The omission of Petey from the Facebook ad speaks volume. If that doesn’t splash water on your face then there’s no hope for ya, but I keep coming back to that. Not sure what to make of Petey flying back to meet the new coach but maybe the omission of Petey from the ad was more of a well intended slap to his face to wake him up rather than “he won’t be a Canuck next season”. Hard to know.

Hmm, Buffalo.
You know, in 2023-24, Tage Thompson had a substantial regression. Not terrible, but significant (from 94 points to 56). Last year, he bounced back for the second 40 goal campaign of his career.
EP40 could bounce back -- lots of players do at this age; Thompson did last year. Maybe EP4- could bounce back in Buffalo, like Thompson did. Maybe Thompson could continue here. We could give them broken Chytl for broken Norris and throw in a Lankinen, which they may like because a Luukkonen Lankinen tandem is a lot of fun to say.
Impossible? (1) This is a pipe dreams and trade ideas thread; (2) Buffalo isn't known for great moves; (3) this is much closer on paper than people think. The Sabres need another goalie, they need a playmaker in the group, they must have concern about Norris' health and contract. And I know that the Canucks have done everything they can to minimize EP40s value on top of what EP40 did himself, and this board is resigned to see the half empty glass, but EP40 still has more points than Thompson over the past 3 seasons playing in basically the same number of games. And he's a year younger.

I think we may see more movement of significant players this offseason - and not just because of free agency. There's word that Necas may not have been thrilled with his time in Colorado. Toronto, well, we've heard all about that even if we didn't want to. Rossi has gone from being pursued to being shopped. Larkin isn't happy with management in Detroit. Hell, if Edmonton doesn't win it this time, there are hard cap decisions they have to make - over and above their desire to build that team which finally gives McJesus his Cup before he bolts the city.
Management won't have much time between the end of the Finals - if it goes to 7 games - but they may be able to exploit some fresh and emotional assessments by losing GMs and their rosters. After this past season, there really are only a few untouchables so I'm more than ready to see a radically-revamped roster - especially at forward.
Petey and Hronek for Norris, Peterka and Tuch? Sure. If it ends the Petey saga, so be it. I don't see Norris as a 1C, and his shoulder is a health risk, but he's a quality 2C at the least and Peterka looks a solid top-6 winger.
Silovs and Chytil for Rossi and picks and prospects? Unless Demko is leaving, there's no room for Silovs and he's waiver-eligible.
Demko's rights for Knies or (more realistically) Nick Robertson? Hey, if Toronto's desperate enough. Goalies like Demko don't become available every year, and goaltending has kicked Toronto in the ass about every year they've had Matthews.
All to say I hope management doesn't see any sacred cows on that roster older than Quinn, and I'm ready for a lot of key familiar faces to be gone and to see a radically different-looking roster, if not core. At this point, the only core is Quinn.

Don’t get the rumours of a Hronek trade, especially to Buffalo. He has a full NMC for the next three years. If he is moving, it will be to a city of his choosing. Don’t think he’ll choose Buffalo.
