News N Notes for ya, Megs...
We just boosted the CC viewership by 51% with these here Dec. 14th experimental posts.
This likely flu over some of your heads, but them's the absolute vax. You all know the consequences now with the released data, so nobody has to take it anymore and I'm sure the percentages have dropped greatly since the first booster post.
Not a jab at you personally, btw.
Now back to our regular, healthy discussion.

Carl.
I have a friend who still gets his booster every six months. Must be up to like the twelfth or so by now.
Gets red in the face and starts yelling at you if you question the wisdom at all...

My kind of guy, never question a man’s loyalty to his vaccinations. Grounds for war.

Hilarious reading the knuckle draggers whining and crying about "scooter boy" and "11.6" ..... No sure if these inbred know that that an 80 point two way Centre is around 9 million a year in todays CAP LEAGUE. So he is 2 and a half million overpaid in the FIRST YEAR of his deal while mostly dragging around shitty linemates other than Debrusk for a dozen games. 'But he's skinny and he falls down some times'.... he doesn't have the snap in his skating due to a wonky knee. Where was the outrage paying OEL 8 million, Air Theif 6 million, Birdbones 4.4 million, Beagle 3 million, Gudbranson 4 million, Myers 6 million, Roussel 3 million, Schaller 3 million, Sbisa 3 million. These guys were overpaid a couple hundred percent each, yet not a peep. The goalie they had to buy out with the snakes.... the CAP is a thing. So Peter is into his new deal 28 games in after he far outperformed his previous contracts and he gets zero slack. Zero... zilch.... nada.
Keep in mind the scooter gang keeps rapping on about 11.6. Within a year or two his contract will be comparable to an 8 million dollar deal singing 2021 as far as % of the cap. I had to educate a couple folks that Hischier's contract was a solid one a couple years ago. Then there were some turnip truck dudes that said Nuge's contract was bad. Too bad that three or four years of posts got guillotined.

I agree with your comments on Pettersson, not so much on Beagle and the others...
The only concern I have with any player signing their legacy contract is will the desire be as strong after the contract is signed as it was when the player was searching for the big contract?
Use to say that I'd take a team of lessor players in search of the big contract over better players who have signed the big contract because what is lacking in skill level is made up in determination and drive...
Gotta say that I was a little p*ssed at Demko's comments after the Bruins game where he seemed non chalant about the effort and wanted to put it on the media...
Was at the game sitting beside a group of guys who got to the game just as the puck was dropped...
They are from the Island and due to the windstorms were waiting at the ferry terminal most of the day hoping to be able to catch a ferry to Vancouver....
In the end the only way they could get on was as foot passengers so they left their car at the terminal on the Island and when they got to Tsawwssen they took a tax to the game which cost them $$$$....
I'm not a drinker but they said the cost of the drinks they were drinking were $15 each and of course after the game they had hotels to pay not to mention the price of the tickets...
All that for a no show?
Thatcher, its not the media its the paying fans....
Take care...

If a player were just looking to play out his retirement contract without much pressure, a U.S. city where the hockey team was the professional sports franchise that was a very distant second in importance to most fans, but which was still not a large media hub, and where there was no tradition of winning, might not be his worst choice.

Petey is not scoring. This catches most of the ire from the fan base. But, Miller/garland/boeser are all not scoring either. Garland takes long shifts and messes up line changes. Debrusk can score if someone else does all the work.
What am I watching here? Management needs to have a come to the flying spaghetti moment and tell this group to grow up and do their jobs. Despite all the GenZ crybaby bullshit work is not your family. Work is work bury the hatchet and get the job done. They’re hockey players, not heart surgeons, time to remind them they have a job to do.

So it’s looking like Miller blew his top, lost it, went ape shit on Petey, and realized he needed a time out to manage his anger. It’s probably becoming too much of an elephant in the room, even for a coach to manage. It’s always there even when they shake hands and make up. Some people are simply put not their kind of people, no changing that. If the distraction hovers, dissect it and get rid of one of them.
If it’s been there since the Boudreau days and still lingers something has to be done. Miller seems to be the problem, as apparently he was no fan of Horvat either. Weird, we seem to prefer keeping the problem over the victims of the problem.
