Yeah, it's hard to tell what they're up to with these moves.

They've finally stopped accruing cap space... for today at least.

But when Miller + Demko return... and Silovs + someone else are sent down... they will be accruing again.

(Hronek would technically still be on LTIR, but if they're not using that cap space, they would accrue)

They could theoretically send a player or two back down right away and start accruing again.

(only $599K over cap right now).

So they are temporarily using LTIR to have the flexibility to make all these moves?

But again, I don't get why they're making these moves.

Using LTIR also triggers performance bonuses calculations in ways in which I'm fuzzy.

Maybe a trade is incoming, who knows...

As I've noted, Scooter's skating style has changed coincidental to his slightly better play.
