Unfortunately the media disagrees and will stir the pot, surround the narrative with chaos of they don't get their way.

Media, by and large, are vultures. They know that the masses love to point the finger, they love drama. Their favourite thing is to build a guy up and then tear him down. Reporters aren't heroes, they are the exact opposite.

Things like this usually begin to leak from other clubs. Canucks have been shopping Miller and or Pettersson for at least 6 weeks we now know. Other teams love to gossip about what other teams are doing. If you listen to Friedman, all of his sources on this one come from other teams. He has nothing directly from the Canucks. So that also taints the validity of the rumour and or the validity of the alleged players that may be involved.

Sometimes an agent will leak it as a strategy to help their player. It is hard to know what is true and what is fantasy. Usually when all is said and done we find it was a bit of both.

This situation just didn't create itself all of a sudden. I would love to know what the Canucks did to try to prevent it from escalating to the point it has. And certainly if JT is as toxic as some would suggest then it begs the question s to why he was not the one traded instead of Bo. JT is an alpha dog. Not everyone can handle an alpha dog. But we all seem to agree that the best option for the Canucks is for the team to work it out. Something must have happened 6 weeks ago for the Canucks to finally conclude it is no longer tenable.

He took his leave around 8 weeks ago.

And even with that info, I don’t think it was quite so cut and dry. He has loved living in Vancouver. His family loves it here. So if that’s true then something happened over the summer and JT has been trying to work through it but hasn’t found a way.

Bingo. Unless there is an offer that Allvin can't pass up before the trade deadline, let this team play it out and deal with everything in the offseason.

Good leadership in the room with like-minded, competitive people... yes, he is part of the problem, but how many years of this team's history have we seen the nice guy Naslund, Sedin, Bo, etc. leadership without the balance. You know you've complained about mediocrity and country-club atmosphere for years.

They chanted the guy's name in public just last season... guess what? They're still chanting his name this season. Real people, not a bunch of media hacks and trolls hanging out in cyberspace.

Bring garbage in, get more garbage results. The rest of your heroes then volunteer to drive themselves to the airport. Make sure deals aren't garbage if you insist on pacifying the babies.

I could be onboard of a hockey trade that improves the Canucks, but the whole concept of getting rid of him for the sake of getting rid of him is ludicrous.

Where did this shipped from NYR because of King Henrik come from. He was included in McDonough deal as NYR decided on a house cleaning to do a quick and fast retool and wanted the first round pick.

The book on JT has always been that he is a passionate, emotional leader. He makes no apology for it. It is how he has to play the game to be at his best. And we have seen how dominate he can be when he is at his best. Who knows who he rubs the wrong way on the team. I doubt it is just Pettersson. But there are a lot of passionate emotional leaders in the game.

Messier was no walk in the park. We all saw the video of McJesus blowing up last years playoffs. Different personalities should not be the problem. What pisses me off is the teams inability to manage this and let it get to this point. I love JT's grit and sandpaper. I love how he can single handily carry the team.

But I love the Alien too, when he is being the Alien. So again, my disappointment is how the team failed to manage this situation. But I say that not knowing what they have done over the last few years to try to manage it. Maybe JT has a shelf life in a locker room. All I do know is that we are a better team when those two are both bringing their A game.

They chanted his name at a WWE event that he wasn’t even at, while he was on that 10 game leave of absence.

You don’t trade that guy. You trade the other guy(s).

So he got traded out of New York for yelling at their Swedish star goaltender.

Now he’s on the ropes in Vancouver for yelling at their Swedish “star” forward.

Swedes…..Fuckin’ pussies.
