Still talking about 2020?
As is Trump. Unfortunately he is still intent on rewriting history.

Taiwan will be the new administration's Ukraine. Get ready for a tsunami of propaganda to manufacture consent for a proxy war there.
Straight from the gut...

So tit for tat, you're as bad as him then?
Or is this all about throwing Trump negativity back at Strangelove as a site counter measure?
Maintaining competitive balance?
Perhaps I was wrong, maybe it is DDS.

No "contempt of court" and no "lying" by Trump.
No lying by Trump?
That'd be a first!
No lying in this particular instance... is what I said.
I have said a few times all politicians tell lies at times...

The man is a compulsive liar. I actually think he doesn't really do it consciously. He just doesn't give a fuck.
He says whatever he feels like saying, pulls numbers out of his ass. Makes shit up.
Whatever feels right at the moment. He gives the crowd what they want to hear.
I'm not even sure he understands the difference between truth and lie.
This is exactly what Biden detractors have said about Pathological Joe.

I think most people on this side of the fence would say that the lying is on another level.
Again, exactly what many Biden detractors have said about Pathological Joe.
I don't think the lying is getting worse, I think the accusations of lying are getting more extreme.

We were talking about whether all politicians lie the same or if Trump is exceptional in this regard. As an example I think the 2020 election denial is the most damaging of all his lies and this sets him apart. That's all.

Yes, right, Donald J. Trump is the only politician/President who lies/has lied.
Good to know.....

Ok read, now you re-read mine.
I mean one can research history and thus document prevarications of all shapes and sizes from political power brokers.
Since we are going to have to go on and on about Donald Trump and the USA for "4 more years" how about the below from LBJ.
Can we agree that 58,000 lost lives and the resultant broken families, post denial of initiating a campaign while actually doing so behind the scenes, all while talking out of the left side of his mouth to placate the (legitimately) concerned is equitable with untruths the current "demon" utters?
....consequential presidential lie was Lyndon B. Johnson, who repeatedly promised during the 1964 presidential campaign, “We are not about to send American boys 9 or 10 thousand miles away from home to do what Asian boys ought to be doing for themselves.” At the very same time and with Johnson’s approval, the Pentagon was drawing up plans to send the first wave of more than 100,000 American servicemen to Vietnam. Johnson’s macho determination not to “lose” Vietnam led him to keep increasing the number of American troops until they reached over 500,000. His strategy produced ever mounting U.S. fatalities, reaching a total of 58,000 by the time fighting ended in 1973.

Politicians lie to get elected all the time, although your example is definitely a whopper. Now I'm not a history buff so I don't know if LBJ asked the Pentagon to make plans because it was his intention at the time to send American boys to Vietnam, or if it was just a matter of being prepared (because previous decisions can be reversed depending on circumstances).
Anyways, I don't think it matters because those 58,000 lives lost were not a consequence of the lie. The consequence of the lie was that LBJ got elected (unfairly). Those boys would probably have gone to war regardless. It's a lesser consequence than the 2020 election denial, which continues to undermine faith in the election processes of the USA? I think this has long-term damage of which we've yet to see the full brunt. I accept that this part is my opinion and not everybody will necessarily see it that way.

Lesser consequence eh?
Make sure you let their parents in on that.
My hope (and still current belief with respect to the human animal) is that most reasonably intelligent people (subjectively speaking a good % of our 9-5, white picket fence "everyday populous" - so not Kid Rock like Confederate Flag waving, rifle in the back windshield of the pick up far right hillbillies for instance - because the far left is equally demented we can call them a wash) can see the difference between tip-toeing around the truth, an out-and-out lie and self-aggrandizing hyperbole, even if the mainstream press and their (insert chosen political entity here) opponents can (or will) not.

The White House posted a speech from Trump's chief economic advisor, Stephen Miran, on its website. This was posted more than a week ago, and it's still there.
Some highlights:
What forms can that burden sharing take? There are many options, here are a few ideas:
First, other countries can accept tariffs on their exports to the United States without retaliation, providing revenue to the U.S. Treasury to finance public goods provision. Critically, retaliation will exacerbate rather than improve the distribution of burdens and make it even more difficult for us to finance global public goods.
Second, they can stop unfair and harmful trading practices by opening their markets and buying more from America;
Third, they can boost defense spending and procurement from the U.S., buying more U.S.-made goods, and taking strain off our servicemembers and
creating jobs here;
Fourth, they can invest in and install factories in America. They won’t face tariffs if they make their stuff in this country;
Fifth, they could simply write checks to Treasury that help us finance global public goods.

Hillary's statement about the 'stolen election' came in 2019, more than two years after the election and on the heels of the Mueller report that concluded there was a Russian conspiracy intended to help elect Trump. Seems a fair opinion to have.
Contrast with Trump's claim backed up by nothing.
