The gist of it is he is going to be a regular season star who doesn't move the needle once the intensity ramps up. A guy who racks up the points but doesn't win you the big games come spring

The Panarin comparable rears it's head again
This is one comparable I read, another had him as a Patrick Kane or Nikita Kucherov comps due to his elite offensive vision, high hockey IQ, and elusiveness.

It's a highly debated draft this year for sure!

Social media rumours has the Leaves telling McKenna they are taking him first overall.

So d-man to SJ.

Then to you Canucks!

More interwebs rumours have the NYR wanting to move into the top 3 apparently targeting either Stenberg or Malhotra.

Would you move #3 for #5 and their 2027 first round pick?

We'd still get one of Stenberg, Malhotra, Carels, Verhoeff assuming McKenna and Reid go 1-2.

Unless the Nucks are 100% locked onto their guy at 3rd, I would do it. The Rangers 2027 1st should be a good pick too. I don't see much difference between 3 and 5 this year, but then again, they don't pay me to know.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

If the Rangers 2027 1st was unprotected, I would make that trade.

Also invoking Tciso's wise caveat, I would jump at the chance.

But I predict that the ownership/management group will not, and will draft Malhotra at #3 OA.

Malhotra at #3 is the safest move out there. No matter what happens to him, there will always be those who will forgive the move by virtue of his position and draft year improvement.

Pick 33

L. Ruck

Pick 41

M. Ruck
If the Canucks want the Ruck brothers they need to trade their 41st + for 34th.

Week draft year so its not like they are losing anything.
