The difference between corporate vice "Mom & Pop" owners, perhaps. I can imagine one following marketing data and business models where the other treats it as an expensive vanity project/equity.

We'll see how many suckers will still pay more to watch next season with just as putrid a squad.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

Look at it this way. No matter the model, the Canucks will be able to legitimately raise prices after 26-27 because no matter how poorly they do, they will at least match expectations.

Well, they can't expect to go any lower... not without another round of league expansion.

AIG has to pay for pretty black seats and Calder Cup rings.

Surely we can't expect them to foot the bill.

With parity in the league being what it is these days, it's not easy to be this bad.

It's easier if you target and acquire as many small, slow and weak pieces that lack drive, determination and jimmyjam then dress them all at once!

Canucks faithful were expecting parity, instead they got parody.

Raise your tankards while the owner raises the prices... again.

And they thought they were going to make the playoffs; this is a completely accidental rebuild. How is it even possible to be accidentally this bad when everything gravitates to the middle? These guys are not only the worst managers in the league by a country mile, they're the worst in the history of this sorry franchise. And they seem to be coming back next year!

If they win the lottery somehow, they'll fuck that up too by taking the wrong player.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
