They are 2 centers away from being a contending team.

No need to blow it up and rebuild it for 10 years.

Who said rebuild for ten years? And they need 2 centres and a play driving winger, maybe 2 of them. So we are looking at probably 4 top 9 forwards. They don't have much capital to acquire these players.

Blobbie, a lot of posters here are saying rebuild and comparing it to Chicago and Anaheim (who are currently above us in the standings). The reason I said ‘blow it up’ is because that’s what a full rebuild is. The reason I said ‘10 years’ is because that’s how long it took Anaheim and Chicago.

Now, for the record, I am against that. We don’t even know what we have on this team as it’s never been on the ice at the same time.

My favourite part of the interview is when it was pointed out to Allvin three western conference teams who had recently torn it down and rebuild are now ahead of the Canucks in the standings - Chicago, San Jose, Anaheim.

Same stock answer bullshit, why we have to be the stupidest organization in he league or beyond me.

They've made a choice to build.... as opposed to tear it down and start from scratch. I can't control this ownership group and neither can you.

Facts for people:

Goalies- Demko, Lankinen, Tolopilo, Patera, Young, Medvedev - Grade is A ....Organizaional depth is insane.

Defence- Hughes, Hronek, Meaty, Giraffe, Forbort, D Petey, Tommy, Mancini, KK, Mynio- Grade is B +
Again the depth in the organization is crazy good.


Centre- Peter, Chytil, Teddy, Raty, Cootes and Mueller in the pipeline..... healthy I give it a C. Filip and Teddy have combined for eight fucking games. Peter eats every hard matchup and the guy the dude said stinks, is his mate in playing hard minutes against quality competition. Why pick on 22 year old Raty? Defensive zone faceoffs and playing against the other teams' best players. Grade is C as healthy. Would have been fine to bring in the good Granlund.

Wingers- Brock will get 30, Evander and Jake will get 20 each. DOC and Sherwood do their jobs. Hoggy would help out a bit. Garland is Steady Eddie. The Abby kids have treaded water. Keep Reichel on the wing if/when the centres come back. I give the wingers and organizational depth at the position a C +.

Special teams- new coaches but Peter has to bare down on the PP. No excuses there from me. Not good enough. You take away any teams top PK guys (Forbort, Suter, Teddy) and the unit will suffer. Grade is D for special teams.

Decent special teams and they are 10 - 6.

That said I see why folks are getting anxious.
