I think it is now official, Canucks eliminated after last night from the playoffs.
Yes. Minnesota only needed 2 points to eliminate the Canucks. If they lose out and we win out both of us will still finish with 93 points…..however they beat us in every tiebreaker.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I guess they'll be picking anywhere from 14th to 16th. A couple centres in that range like Bear, Kindel or even Potter if they want to reach a little.

That is assuming they even keep the pick.

Honestly, it's unlikely at this point," Boeser said when asked about a return to Vancouver next season. "“It sucks, it's unfortunate. I'm just trying to play good hockey, and then I'll worry about everything after that. We all know it's been a roller coaster of a year. There's been a lot of different things.”

I guess he doesn’t like where negotiations are going.

Honestly, I'd rather keep Boeser and kick Rutherford to the curb at this point.

I don't like the way the geezer treats people. There's no loyalty in him.

Opposite ends of the spectrum, those two.

Boeser is too nice and The Geez... not.

I’m still pissed they didn’t trade him for anything if they had no intention of bringing him back. Such a waste.

But ya, these Canucks treat players and coaches like shit. They telegraphed over a year ago what they thought of Brock. But what is he worth?

The business at times does not allow for loyalty one might suppose.

But the apparent lack of respect is telling....

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

They offered him 40 over 5 years. He's a slow, soft 25-28 gosl guy who gets lit up defensively.

But it's all Rutherford s fault that he cant instill a torch on his skates and a bit of grit.

You wanna give him a seven or eight year ticket for 7-8?

That would be the height of stupidity. Why be loyal to a guy who looks old at 28? Thats what sunk Pat Quinn.

Smart old geezer.

No I wouldn't give him 7 or 8 years Blob. He's bound to age poorly, but I would try to meet in the middle somewhere.

You can mark me down as someone who is not a fan of The Geezer's management style, I guess.

Horvat, by your own admission, Miller in the end, Bruce on the bench. Low balling, disrespect, leaking shit to the media. Just bush league. With Boeser I kind of get it though. Two years ago they could not give him away. Then he has a bounce back season and scores 40. This year he is back to his career averages. They let him know they wanted to see by January what he had and they saw. He is a 20-30 goal scorer with high +/- and slow foot speed. He does not drive play but can be a finisher with the right line mates. JT was that for him. Maybe he goes to NYR to be reunited. But I'd love him back for DeBrusk term and cap. Maybe they can trade his rights at the draft for a 4th round pick.

Do you think he is worth more than DeBrusk? I don't. But I would settle at his same salary for 5 years.
