We are talking about a 113 million dollar cap in 2 years.
8 million is not a massive ticket anymore.

Yep. Addition by subtraction. A man that got dropped like a sack of shit by Brayden Schenn.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:01 pmYou could look at that the other way.
Maybe they traded a toxic prick to help a fractured dressing room.
Guy like that probably said he wouldn't waive for anyone but the Rangers. Held Mgmts feet to the fire.

It sure is nice to have competent management.
Thank you Jim.
Thank you Patrick.

We have to remember that JT controlled the situations. There may have been better offers but Miller wasn't willing to go to those teams.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 4:46 pm If this was the best we could get from the Rangers imagine how bad the other offers were.

Also, 11.6M is greater than 8M
Air thieving 11.6M is almost twice as bad as 6M
Simple math

I see a lot of Rags fans praising Mancini, sad to see the prospect go.
Not justifying anything, just reporting what I see.
I had never heard of the guy before today...

And so many seem OK with it.....excusing the shit return on the adverse situation.

Some already are.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:04 pm You know the return looks shitty but I predict posters here will, over the next day or so, begin to rationalize and believe it was not all that bad. "Miller's getting old when he had another season or two in him". "We got back pretty much the same draft pick that we use to get him." "Toxic, that's all he's worth anyways." Etc etc.

Who in the top-6 is gonna win faceoffs for the Canucks now so that the scoring lines can start with possession? That was one of those metrics you looked at right?JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:14 pm No matter what you think of the person. I will 100% trade the 32 year old with 5 years remaining, than the 26 year old. Just makes sense. Petey has out played Miller this season when you look at most metrics.

Only Carolina (who just made a massive trade) and NYR had been given permission to talk to the punching bag's agent. Its addition by subtraction. Get a decent middle 6 centre, a high pick, a decent prospect and a lot of cap room.
