I think Tan is still the man. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I'd watch the term on that next contract though.
Gudas is tough, but will commit goal against causing faux pas'. There's potential for fan whipping boy status there in the local grand tradition..

Does Nikita prefer the wrong side?Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:58 pmI agree completely, I just worry green won’t play him on his off side. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:46 pmI'd rather roll the dice on the napkin than overpay for Radko Gudas. Yeah, I agree Mëds. I would hope that Radko would come for considerably less than Tanev would want.Mëds wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:33 pmI think it's a good idea so long as Gudas comes for less than Tanev currently makes.....and also going on the presumption that he is replacing a departing Tanev.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 12:49 pmI don't think he's near as good a defender as Tanev but he is a tough hombre for sure. So the top 4 would be Myers and Hughes then Napkin with Edler. Bottom pairing would be drawn from Benn, Rafferty, Juolevi, Sauntner, Teves...or am i forgetting someone?Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:58 pmI agree completely, I just worry green won’t play him on his off side. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:46 pmI'd rather roll the dice on the napkin than overpay for Radko Gudas. Ya on second thought that D needs at least one more piece brought in for sure if we let Tanev walk

He’s not as good of a player as Tanev, closer to Myers probably, maybe not that good. He’s a 4/5 guy. I threw his name out the other day as a potential patchwork replacement for Tanev, along with DeMelo, Dillon and Edmunson.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 12:28 pm What do you guys think of Radko Gudas as a potential rhd partner target for Hughes? Gudas is a great hitter but he isn’t much of a fighter. Ask Kevin Bieksa

I think he does, but so did benn, and green was having none of that.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:00 pmDoes Nikita prefer the wrong side?Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:58 pmI agree completely, I just worry green won’t play him on his off side. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:46 pmI'd rather roll the dice on the napkin than overpay for Radko Gudas. Yeah, Benn was surprisingly competent playing the wrong side. Especially for a guy that's so limited generally.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:14 pmI think he does, but so did benn, and green was having none of that.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:00 pmDoes Nikita prefer the wrong side?Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:58 pmI agree completely, I just worry green won’t play him on his off side. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:46 pmI'd rather roll the dice on the napkin than overpay for Radko Gudas. LMAO Schenn did NOT look like a top 4 guy.... he never has throughout his career. Fuck you’re hilariousRichardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:49 pmI’m more of the opinion that Tanev, this year especially, was entirely carried by Quinn. I remember luke Schenn looking like a top 4 guy when paired with Quinn, a guy like Radko shouldn’t break the bank and helps the toughness and the pk. I also don’t think quinn and petey are gonna be like marner and Matthews.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 12:49 pmI don't think he's near as good a defender as Tanev but he is a tough hombre for sure. Tanev for shorter term and no raise I’m good with, but anything more than his 4.5(?) is gonna bite us in the ass.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:59 pm I think Tan is still the man. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I'd watch the term on that next contract though.

Look at his stats when paired with Hughes during that stint.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:16 pmLMAO Schenn did NOT look like a top 4 guy.... he never has throughout his career. I think Sautner has been ready and able to fill the 7-8 hole for the past couple of years, but as you say. Green will have none of it. Sautner and Rafferty should be given a real chance to make the tea this year,. Even Breezy and Chatty should get a good look. It's promotion time.

I think if Tanev walks we drop down and challenge for a high draft pick.
Not that that's a horrible thing or anything.

I did. I also watched him play. He had 2 assists and played 14 min a night. That ain’t a top 4 D man. Pls stop with the shitting all over Tanev. It’s getting old. I get not wanting to commit to an older brittle guy, but enough with the bullshit. ANYONE who actually watched the games would tell you he had a solid year last year. He’s still a solid 3/4 guy all day long.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:16 pmLook at his stats when paired with Hughes during that stint.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:16 pmLMAO Schenn did NOT look like a top 4 guy.... he never has throughout his career.
