The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.
There are some intelligent arguments here except for those who support Trump. You dudes are fucking stupid or trolling. It is hard to take seriously someone who says Trump has many good points. What? On second thought never mind. I have no doubt anything these people say is going to be along the same dumbass vein we have seen so far.
In regards to Hillary and the woman thing. Men never think that misogyny is true but ask a woman and see what you get. Even Obama has not been subjected to the harassment Hillary has been through. For what? Do you really think a white male member of the establishment would go through the shit she has?

I think much of the West is fascinated by the lack of separation between church and state in the US. It's disturbing, but fascinating, and more than a little ironic.
YOU’RE... "disturbing and ironic".
(seems you feel “religious” folk should not have a say in their society)
(also seems you do not understand “Separation of church and state”)

Wake up Berry, there are many many many reasons to hate Hillary:
I actually thought Condoleezza Rice would run as an independent.
Wouldn't have won but what would it have done I wonder.
Maybe, if nothing else, it would have made issues a little clearer forcing the other two to be more direct with their policies..

Why would she run as an independent?
That's where she sees herself.
There is a lot of information on her, it's quite interesting.
There was some pretty strong nudging from moderates for her to do just that.

That's what the laughing emoticons are for. Not my fault is you don't know how to use them. Once you have taken a position so outrageous as to suggest that Drumpf would be a better president than Clinton, nothing else you might post is obviously just a joke.

Wow Doc... Don't think I've ever seen you lose your cool before. Sorry, if I hit a nerve.
This topic deserves more than a couple lines. I'll have a go tomorrow.
A guy named Yeats summed up what is happening best. In 1919 after WW1 he wrote it as a wake up call. Unfortunately, not many listened and sure enough WW2 happened. Today the best do lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity. Because of history I am for Hillary due to the party platform (thanks to Cornruck for bringing it out partially) and for the chance to prevent a charismatic putz from being elected.
I have always despised the Republican platform. No! That is not quite right. I hate what they have done to the party of Lincoln and Eisenhower. Paul Ryan is a sycophant as are all the rest of the remora fish fastened greedily onto the bloat of Trump. They continue to speak out against his nuttiness but say Hillary would be worse. THAT is their rationale for violating all the principles they are supposed to stand for. It is not good enough. At least Cruz stood up and did not bend over for the Donald's "YUGE" dick. Sure it is a political calculation but at least it is not about passionate intensity.
Here is the poem. See if any of it applies to today and then look at history. We need to stop this dickhead before he can do something awful. Hitler started out as a racist buffoon that intelligent people said first of all that he could never go anywhere. Nobody took him on at first. Then he got followers and still they laughed at the silly men in brown shirts. Nobody who is smart could ever imagine him in power but he had a disenfranchised population of white men who felt the Versailles Treaty had been too harsh (they were right) and robbed them of what should be the rewards for working hard. He blamed it on Jews so they had a target for their anger. Thus came Kristallnacht. Still they said he would moderate when faced with the realpolitik of governing. That really worked out well for them and the rest of us.
Maybe Trump will not be as bad or even close. Most likely the system of checks and balances will keep him from following his instinct to lash out and destroy his critics, but even a one in a hundred chance is to be met with a big 'no fucking way'.
William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
THE SECOND COMING
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
Right or wrong I will not be counted among those who lack all conviction
Wow! Just read my post. I do not usually get so serious. I guess this guy scares me for my kid's future while Hill is just more of the same. I will take more of the same thanks.
BTW. What is with the love affair with Richard Simmons?
