NFL is for posers & fagballs...Hockey is a real man's sport, I never miss a game *insert Old Spice commercial music*Mëds wrote:Question for the poor souls who thought this was a boring game and didn't enjoy it because it was a blowout...
Would you have said that game 7 of the 2001 SCF was boring if, instead of losing, we had blown Boston out 8-1?
Was it boring when we knocked San Jose off in 5 to take the Conference?
Don't compare, slaughter

Speaking of which, I used the old OTA HDTV and had the US feed with their much hyped commercials....man were they lame. I think the NFL, NBA, UFC and WWE are the gayest. I bet someone comes out in those leagues before NHL or MLB....oh wait...someone already did....Puck wrote:In all fairness, there hasn't been a really bad Super Bowl for ages. True, there was a period there where it was often a bad game, but in recent years that has not been the case.
As for the game... it looked a lot like two teams that were not equally well prepared. It's possible that you need to have played this 'Hawks team once or twice to get an idea how to beat them.
Kudos to Seattle's less-talked-about-guys, the receiving corps and the special teams - all facets of the team played at a high level. Russell Wilson: 6 of 9 on 3rd down conversions. ... and I seriously think Doug Baldwin might be Seattle's Post-Season MVP. That guy really came to play in the last three games.
Awesome game if you were on the right side of the score.

As an impartial fan, blowouts are boring. Get over it.Mëds wrote:Question for the poor souls who thought this was a boring game and didn't enjoy it because it was a blowout...

Is it shocking that Seattle fans enjoyed the game? No! If it was my team I would have enjoyed it too, but as an impartial fan who was hoping for some entertainment, it was like watching Bama vs Florida International or something.
There are all kinds of articles all over the web wondering out loud if this was not only a boring game, but the most boring Super Bowl ever! I guess it's not just me.
Even the local Seattle rags have pondered this. http://www.seattlepi.com/entertainment/ ... 198919.php

The game was in doubt until the first play of the second half.
0-2
0-5
0-8 could have been 0-21 at this point but Denver's D was holding their own
0-15 after the 1st INT, still a 2 score game
0-22 after the pick six, Manning was moving the chains on short dink-n-dumps, but he got stupidly greedy again
----------
0-29 ha ha ha ha, Seahawk's offence manages the clock and the game is done.

Seahawks should trade Russel Wilson to the Jaguars and draft Teddy Bridgewater.

Apparently, The 2x First Team ALL-PRO, Stanford Graduate and Superbowl XLVIII Champion is set to sign a long-term contract extension with the Seahawks that would make him the highest compensated CB in Football.

Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman has signed a four-year, $57.4 million contract extension, a deal that easily makes him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.
Sherman announced the deal Wednesday on his Twitter account and on his blog page, saying the extension includes $40 million in guaranteed money.

Any predictions for the 2014 NFL Draft?
I'd say Big D will find a way to draft Johnny Football.

With the US Patent Office revoking the Redskins trademark as derogatory, can the Vikings be far behind?
