Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

Kind of curious how this is coming out now, following a rumour Zadorov would be receiving his best offer by this weekend too. Looks like this is when Allvin pivots to other options. Boston is gonna pay Lindholm what he wants. Too bad, he was a good fit here and one of the best forwards in the post s...

Powers I'd think is at the very least in play for them as a discussion point.
Particularly since they acquired another top 4 left shot D in Bo Byram at the deadline. That was kind of a head scratcher.

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas

Power is a left shot, but to have one of Power/Hughes on the ice for 90% of the game is scary good. Having a top 4 RHD is ideal, but bringing in a secondary puck moving/2-way D-man is integral for managing Quinn’s mins long term, while providing a 2nd wave of offence from the back end. Power can pla...

Re: Past Canuck Players

OEL sucked when Tocchet was his coach in Arizona and Vancouver. The way he is playing doesn’t reflect well on the coach. Must be a personality clash? Tocchet will be flipping off the TV when he watches him lifting the cup. OEL was still playing top pairing min under Tocc which he could no longer ma...

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas

So who’s on the short list for top pairing RHD Petey could draw?

Which team is desperate for a franchise centre?

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

There were a group of masked anarchists waiting in the background that instigated the whole debacle, it was totally planned. Hmmm... organized anarchists. Bit of an oxymoron no? Nihilist then? Call them what you want, they had a motive to create chaos and succeeded. The drunk retards took...

Somewhere I have video I shot that night - it was a lot shorter ;) - but it really showed the change from the post-game celebration to the darkness that unfolded. There were a group of masked anarchists waiting in the background that instigated the whole debacle, it was totally planned. There was a...

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

Even if Lindholm averages 60-70 points a year, $7 mill is a great deal. He brings so much more than offence, and is an ideal #2 centre for the next 4-5 years. Getter done. Zed has some leverage simply because of his unique acumen, but he’ll take less $$ if the term and trade protection are to his li...

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

Yeah, if Hronek is gonna be signed long term, I have a tough time going over $7. His value to the club is obvious, but the body of success is short. The problem with ditching Hronek for a winger like Necas is it creates a massive hole on the back end, and now you’ve limited the amount of $$ you can ...

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

I seem to recall Allvin mentioning him having issues with the cap pertaining to Poolman’s contract. I wonder if he might try and dump the contract this summer to Ana or Chi.

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

I am curious to see how management handles Hronek this summer. What are their thoughts on him after his roller coaster season. If they still see him as an important part of the team, what are they willing to pay him? If they have a hard line number and Hronek’s demands are higher, are they willing t...

Patterson seems like he wouldn’t have many peers that think very highly of him.
